When Ted Dibiase turned on Junk Yard Dog when they were in Mid-South wrestling. (Early 80's)

Championship match, started out with them shaking hands, and in the end Dibiase brought out a foreign object, loaded up his glove, and delivered a knock-out punch to JYD.

Don't think I cried, but I was shocked...had to be my first experience of a huge heel turn.

Definitely Owen dying. You knew it happened, but JR and Lawler couldn't say it. Their tone was unmistakeable. One of the most "real" things you'll ever see on live TV, and as sad as humanely possible.
What sucks now is when Wrestling announcers use that real hushed, somber tone for fake events.

Wish someone had a good link to that... I know the PPV cameras were all told to show other segments.... but there had to of been some footage of the free fall? Can't believe it never leaked anywhere?
