Wrestling was actually cut off in about 1988 where I'm from (I'm eurotrash). Raw and smackdown returned to TV in like 2001 or so. Nowadays there's no TV channel here showing them either. I don't feel I'm losing anything though. Seems like in wrestling history, I missed all the really great things (monday night wars, mtl screwjob etc). Didn't really watch in the 2000's either, seems like every program was triple H talking shit for half an hour and wrestling some boring shitfest of a match that ended in "evolution" or wtf it was called, jumping on the opponent. It was always that, or old Mr. saggy Flair doing it on behalf of triple H.
That, and McMahon doing dumb skits about himself while professional wrestlers actually kiss his ass on camera on the ring, that was enough. Not like it's homoerotic already, just go full blast on that. At least guys like Angle etc. entertained at times, but for the most part I don't want to see geriatrics like hogan or flair acting and making drama, and that's what it appears to be these days.

That said, in retrospect it was kind of sad to read that Rick Rude had died. That dude was a killer heel and always entertained. Also, my guilty passion is watching old matches and Bobby Heenan doing anything. Love the guy.

You're right, I don't get that. It's like there's some odd ass premise that everyone thinks wrestling is real unless someone states it a hundred times.
