I think this was part of a Super Bowl trends.

1. There has never been a NFL team that got home field advantage at the Super Bowl. Saints must get to the playoffs then get to the Super Bowl.

2. There has never been a Super Bowl winning QB traded to win another Super Bowl. Broncos must win.

3. There has never been a starting black QB that won the Super Bowl. Redskins must win.

I wonder which of these trends will last the shortest and longest from this forward on.

I don't think people who predicted Tarvaris Jackson was a bust were doing it for his skin color. You could have seen a mile away his football IQ was low and his decision making was atrocious. Then you find out he pulled a loaded gun at his wife threatening to kill her. Telling a spade a spade is not racism.
