i'm shocked at all the love Notre Dame is getting. Yeah their schedule looked tough at the start of the season but looking back at it now , i don't think they have been tested by a team the caliber of Alabama.
Oklahoma, Southern Cal, Michigan, Michigan State were all extremely overrated this year.

Besides the NC and Kansas St vs Oregon (which will be closer than I think most people think) and finally Texas A&M VS OU in the Cotton Bowl. Time for A&M to either prove the SEC really is better than the BIG 12 and that A&M really is just that much better than they were last year. Will be an interesting one. Those are pretty much the only 3 I care about.

Also...As far as ND vs Alabama. Its too easy to pick Alabama to roll. I hope they do like a majority of people on this board but for some reason I could just the luck of the Irish keeping this close. They got offered a bowl and turned it down because they thought that they might get a better bowl game. By the time they wanted to accept al lthe bowls were already filled up. Article I read was accusing the coach of wanting to play in a bigger bowl game against a powerhouse to up his value as he has been interviewing and rumored to be in line for a better coaching job. If that is true very sad for the seniors on that team.

Generally speaking, the bowl matchups are not good this year and there are far too many of them. Teams should need 7, if not 8 wins to qualify. Unfortunately, the money grab takes priority. Never liked the way the NCAA operates.Comment -
Can't fault Tech for asking for a few more days in anticipation of being invited to a better bowl, granted they deserved it with a 9-3 record, best O in the country, and had AM (only team that beat Bama) on the ropes only to fall short. Not to mention it seems they draw attraction from fans all over, exciting team to watch with that O but in addition their D is awful so makes games shootouts that draw crowds and spectators, thought a bowl committee would see this but guess not.
