I was thinking that, but that would have been awfully quick thinking. Not realistic, dumb that he was even in the situation, spike it, then coach can go over not catching anything short of the endzone before they run the next play.

Exactly, it's easy to say what we would have done but you are coached from pee wee football to catch a ball of its close to you. I always think that it's best to spike the ball in these situations.

On a side note, ND vs Bama is going to have huge ratings. Should be a good game.
