First complementing our oriental friend Deemer San on his "jaw line" and now this? What's going on here?

First suggestion is not to post your plan on a public message board.

This is not even close enough to the amount that trigger any red flags with the IRS. My advice, get cashiers checks or money orders, if possible, and cash them at check cashing facilities. You'll pay some juice, but it's a lot cheaper than paying the taxes.

You can also show losing bets to offset your winnings i believe. I know in vegas you'll get in trouble for picking up "dead" tickets off the ground to try to keep and show losses equal to your winnings. But you can probably get away with it at a horse track. What do others think of this strategy?

Get a log book, NOT an excel sheet, but a real log book. Get a bunch of losing tickets, make sure they are not on the same game where you have winners, fill out the log book and make yourself look like a player who loses. The IRS will ask for records. My buddy, who is a 25 year professional in Vegas, has been audited more than once.

It's hard to think about taxes when you never cash out.
