bank .. thoughts on bal @ hou?
I think the value here is with baltimore. theyve burned me this year already and the injuries are piling up so im not very confident.. but to be underdogs by a TD i really like. Houston is obviously one of the best teams in the league, but I still think they're overrated...some of my boys rip into to me for saying that, but like you said bank I could see the upset to GB coming a mile away after their performance against the jets. schaub's overrated too. pure game manager. would love to hear your thoughts on the matchups... as always with houston; if you can come close to slowing down foster, you have a chance. can baltimore do it?

bank dont mean to clog up your thread with shit, but assuming/hoping youre cool with me bringing up picks and analysis in here.

since im hot with props thought id like to share one with you for thursday and get your thoughts.... alex smith 225.5 passing yards..
i wanna load up on that under till the cows come how. I doubt alex smith passes for over 175 against that seahawks defense. people whispering kaepernick may eat into smith's snaps even more this week... looks like a solid ass bet right here.

A large amount of GB's success came from extra opportunities on bad penalties after Houston had gotten the stop, and weak coverage in the secondary. Both of these were products of Houston running a different defensive scheme for much of the night than they were used to and the absence of Cushing. What was normally the Wade Phillips 5 wide pass rush was only 4 for much of the night and it wasn't generating pressure, giving Rodgers time to find the open man.

Fastforward to this week and The Packers will be facing an extremely aggressive front 7 backed by one of the better secondaries in the NFL, and playing their third road game in a row.

Ultimately, you beat the Packers by keeping the ball out of Aaron Rodgers hands more than anything, and that probably means Jackson and Richardson have to be dominant on the ground, and Bradford and his receivers need to execute on the opportunities they have. The GB defense is still a bit beaten up.

I made this game -5 though, so I'm not really seeing value. I do think the Packers will win the game.

loss of webb is a absolute killer for the ravens, killa ray not as much as he more of the emotional leader than the playmaker he once was,,,,think the biggest question is that big beast in the middle, think i heard sprained mcl for ngata and he gonna play but how effective will he be? knock Shaub if you must but he certainly better than tj yates and hou gave a healthy balt all they could handle in the playoffs @ balt with him at qb... i think Shaub will hit aj early to loosen up the bal run d as that seems to be hou mo as of late and w/o webb just not sure who gonna stop that considering if they give help foster will go off... i still question ravens new look offense on the road as they tend to struggle getting the no huddle going leaving their d on the field for long stretches, remember kc owned the los and controlled that whole gm gashing ravens run d before the injuries..all that said i think bal can get some big plays and use rice underneath on hou and stay in gm, i couldnt lay the points..

I actually really like the ML parlay option this week. Some combination of San Fransisco, Houston, New England, Minnesota, Chicago. A Vikings/Bears 6 point tease for -110 also seems like a very strong play to me.

The only game I've played as of now is the Titans +3.5/ML.

the more talk the better my brother,,im not here to post plays and get a following (as you may notice i dont even track a record, lol)... i havnt seen you post a prop that was off to be honest, i never play them but you got me pretty convinced they not a bad idea (i did mention that bradford over wilson fantasy prop thingy! which was money id assume even tho still not sure how scoring works im sure bradford outscored wilson in that 1!)...dont think smith touched 175 last yr and while he has better wrs id go out on limb and say seachicken d is even better,,not sure i buy into kapernick taking a lot of the snaps this week but either way i think i will join you and play my 1st prop on this one!!

i agree with all of that, think every gm you mention that is the winning team,,bears is the one id be most reluctant with as much as i love their d i could see johnson blowing the top off the cover 2, then again not sure if stafford is patient enough not to make mistakes, biggest worry is det dline vs bears biggest weakness (not to mention only time i ever include mon night in anything is my sun nite/mon nite degen parlay and i just havnt got into those yet)...glad you coming over for the discussion sk as i always respect your opinion

havnt looked into the ten/buf gm a whole lot but think me and you both agree ten a lot better team with the old man behind center,,,think im starting fitzpatrick this week as rivers on bye(god rivers and his turnovers making me sick, damn near cost me a easy win) and still think ten pass d can be had, id expect some points in this one..

i becoming more confident in bradfords ability to keep chains moving, and even hitting big plays when he has the time,,,is raji gonna be out again? that would go a long way in my confidence in stl run gm,,,i agree pack win and not to interested in the 5 atm, teasing rams up with under is somewhat appealing to me... but i could just as easily play pack ml with something else...

at first glance the crabtree under looks sexy as well.

                            ravens @ texans
the game seems like itll be close, but i think texans figure out their problem here and not let db's go one on one on the outside all game long. saw last week that ravens run d is horrific compared to their past which gives foster some running room. that is what generates their pass o and keeps defense on their heels. with ravens lacking their defensive team leader and one of their best (if not their best db) i see ravens hanging in and losing it in the 2h, specially if ngata isnt controlling his gaps

jinx that prop looks sick, like too good to be true

alex has only gone over 225 twice, once it was 226 (lol). with both teams being predominantly ground and pound with shots only when d tightens up, it seems like thats just too good to be true. does short week prep affect this much?

if we know anything about thu it certainly doesnt effect it in a negative way as offenses typically look like dogshit.. id be shocked if that number doesnt drop on smith before i ever see it

staying far, far away from this game. buffalo @ home can be dangerous. titans more bi polar than my gf.
one of those coin-toss games id rather watch from afar. however, if you guys are on the titans i will go with them in my pools. hardest game to cap on sunday in my opinion.

hou is what they are on d and id still expect some 1 on 1 opportunities for ravens and ya know they gonna take shots with torey smith,,that said watt will do his parrt to make flacco think twice about standing back there on deep routes,,if they do make a effort to take deep ball away i think rice will have lots of success underneath,,,ultimately hou sports the best run gm in the nfl imo and balty can be run on (wasnt just last week, kc dominated balty on ground, we should have got the ml win in that gm if cassel didnt suck so bad) , i just cant take a team i think will be gashed on the ground from start to finish...

staying far, far away from this game. buffalo @ home can be dangerous. titans more bi polar than my gf.
one of those coin-toss games id rather watch from afar. however, if you guys are on the titans i will go with them in my pools. hardest game to cap on sunday in my opinion.
even tho i think hou wins i couldnt even argue a ton against raven ml as i seriously doubt odds are as great they win as ml indicates,,i dont buy it but it the fukkin nfl and not like bal is chopped liver, few plays here or there and all...that said how does hou not run all over these guys? banged up ngata and they gonna have to lend support on aj i would think as webb was only corner of their i would trust out on a island, jimmy smith has great potential but like webb now that he thrown in a starter role it will prob take a yr for him to get to shut down status....

yea im not saying i like titans as of yet,,obviously i had them week early and they preformed much better last week, im firm on them being much better team with hasslebeck under center (limp arm and all), he at least knows the offense and will get their many playmakers out in space which locker wasnt doing...im gonna roll with fitzpatrick in this gm for fantasy purposes as i think ten d has a lot of holes (this my other team, as you can see qb wasnt a high priority to me, lol)....jinx when you have a minute shoot me a pm with more details on that 5 dollar canada pool thing, i wish i understood it more last week as i think we could have got you paid, but i didnt really have the time once you brought it up...id prefer not taking the thread up with details on some shit i cant bet tho so pm me...

i would like to talk zona/min next....

to me min-6 is a decent play, i could hear folks telling me min hasnt really proven to be worthy of a spread this high as of yet and not sure i could argue but lets be real about this zona team, they had a very good ats run going back to last year and there was value there, dont believe this is the case any longer as their last 2 lines certainly were adjusted as we cashed with stl and buf against them..zona oline is fukkin miserable, they just made a bills d that no one even knew existed look good, id prob feel better if kolb was playing as i know he holds the ball to damn long (have to go back and look at skelton, hopefully i can find some tape),,lets just say either way i feel much better about min defense against this team than i did against rg3...zona can be run on, they have lost the rushing battle in 4 of their 6 gms and id expect more of the same here, stl came out after halftime and dominated zona at the point of attack which set up a big play later on (zona pass d good but they do give up almost 12 yards per completion)...dogs have owned the nfc so that kinda scary but i see a gm where min imposes their will up front on both sides of the ball.....

With bipolar behaviour, it's all about recognizing when they're going up or down.

The Buffalo DL is already ravaged with injuries such that they let Arizona run for 182 on the weekend. Over the course of the season, they've allowed opponents to gain 5.8ypc. In their last three games, they got completely stomped by the Patriots and Niners, and then won in Arizona on the strength of an OT interception. They're out of gas, and desperately want to get into their bye week.

The Titans are one of the healthier teams in the NFL right now, coming off a huge confidence boosting win. I think Chris Johnson looked more confident last week than he has all season and is ready to return to form. One of their biggest issues this season has been that their offensive play calling was slanted too heavily to the passing game (67% passing plays). This is such a perfect spot for CJ to have a big game (he's been solid in 2 of his last 3), attacking Buffalo where they're weak, and just wearing them out over the course of the game, knowing that they don't have a lot left in the tank. Hasselback did a good job against PIT in distributing among his receivers, and I like that he's starting in this game.

Two teams going in opposite directions, IMO.

I think his presence on the field would be huge for the Saints defense, and from all reports he's been working hard in both his rehab and in familiarizing himself with Spagnuolo's system to be game-ready when he came off the PUP list. His first full practice is today, so we'll know more soon.
