On the Sunday NFL card I like taking the Philadelphia Eagles installed as 7 ½ point dogs when they face the Tampa Bay Bucs set to start at 1:00 PM ET. The Eagles played well and with some renewed vigor in their cover against the Cowboys Sunday night. Their rookie quarterback has impressed me greatly as he has firmly grasped the starting role opportunity and is showing very smart decision making. Their rookie running back has had two very impressive 160+ yard rushing games, but still needs to work on securing the ball. His fourth quarter fumble led to a Dallas score, but this is a simple fundamental flaw that can be worked on and fully corrected. Bucs are losers of two straight after posting an impressive four game winning streak. The fact that the Eagles now have a ground attack that the Bucs must respect sets up for a big 300+ passing day for Foles. The Bucs secondary has been torched for several weeks now and I expect more of the same. Moreover, Eagle HC Reid is a solid 13-3 ATS in road games after gaining 175 or more rushing yards last game. I like the Eagles for a 10* play.

John is 3-0-1 so far with his paid NFL picks. +60 units. He also hit his 25* CBB pick. He has been fairly consistent over the last few weeks, but has really shined on Sundays since I picked up the package.

He does have a 25* on the game this evening. I will update his record after that game.

There are three major sites Plus my own with the same plays and the same results to validate what Big G Vinny has been saying. Just FYI.

Tonight I like the UNDER in the Bengals-Eagles game for a 10* play. UNDER 45 points.

10* graded play on the Carolina Panthers as they take on the San Diego Chargers set to start at 4:05 PM ET. The simulator shows a high probability that Carolina will win this game. Given projections like this from my simulator, I always like playing a combination bet using a 7.5* on the line and a 2.5* using the money line. Carolina has a long proven history when playing struggling teams. They are an impressive 25-10 ATS (+14.0 Units) when playing against a bad team winning between 25% to 40% of their games with this game taking place in the second half of the season in all games played since 1992. Chargers are immersed in a 0-7 ATS run in non-conference games over the last 2 seasons; 1-8 ATS after a playing a game where 50 total points or more were scored over the last 2 seasons. Supporting this graded play is a proven system posting a 44-15 ATS mark for 75% winners since 2006. Play on road teams where the line is +3 to -3 after 2 consecutive games where they forced 1 or less turnovers and now facing an opponent after a game where they committed 1 or less turnovers. 45% of the games played based on the criteria of this system have covered the spread by seven or more points. Cam newton has been given fewer progressions to make and it has paid off big for the Panthers as he has thrown 11 TD and just 2 picks in his last 6 games. The Chargers stunning win against the Steelers last week marked only the third game where they had no turnovers. The Chargers are doing a nice job against the run, but teams are attacking their pass defense. Opponents have run the ball just 38% of the time and now the Chargers have to defend both run and pass threats with Newton under center. using the ‘belly reads’ has made it very difficult for opposing linebackers to get enough depth in coverage and simply when they turn their back to get that depth is when newton takes off with the ball. Simple enough for the Panthers, but a true nightmare for the Charger defense. Take the Panthers.

On the Sunday card, I already have identified the Arizona Cardinals as a play. The simulator grades it out as a 10* opportunity. They were absolutely destroyed 58-0 by the Seattle Seahawks and are now facing a the Lions, who had led the majority of the game in Green Bay before falling 27-20. Both teams are 4-9 on the season, but Arizona started out 4-0 before losing nine straight. This long a losing streak has allowed the lines to be adjusted to accurately reflect who the Cardinals are at this point. Detroit continues to lose and find new ways to lose so there is a lot of value with Arizona. The Cardinals are dead last in the league in nearly every offensive category except being 30th on 4th down conversions. The Lions defense is getting weaker with every passing game and currently rank 26th allowing 26.3 PPG. I am confident that the Cardinals will challenge their season high of 27 points scored in this matchup. The Cardinals are a solid 14-2 ATS in home games when facing good passing teams averaging 235 or more passing yards per game in the second half of the season since 1992. Take the Cardinals

In addition to the picks above, John had a 10* on Dallas, a 25* on Dallas Under and a 25* on Houston.

So far for the day that is a profit of 27.5. He also has New England tonight for 25* so we will see how that turns out....

Goin with the Jets, I think they have more talent overall and Tenn is really banged up on o-line. Also the Jets are still alive for a wildcard and have won 2 in a row and play better on the road. But with that said I would appreciate your insight as well. Thanks!

I would have gone with the Jets, quite frankly. and as George and company know, I did have the Jets last night. I never thought, although I knew there was dysfunction on thsi team, that i would witness the incredibly poor play on both sides of the ball. How do you give up a 94 yard run, WHEN YOU KNOW CJ IS IN THE BACKFIELD AND THEY ARE PINNED AGAINST THEIR GOAL AND THAT THERE IS A 99.5% PROBABILITY OF RUNNING THE BALL or the 0.5% woudl be a fly pattern in man coverage. If I was a Jets fan, I wouild demanded that Tebow start the next two games and the entire coaching staff, GM included FIRED.

The Jets need to build a team, much like the Falcons have done. I know Matt Ryan, because he went to my alma matre's arch rival Penn Charter in Philadelphia. I like the school Boston College and followed him there.. But how many of you knew him before now? not many. What the Falcons did was draft a big time running back, a great physical tackle and then Ryan. Establish the run, protect the QB, and then added Gonzalez (TE) to help in the red zone adn to help on check down routes. It has worked.. But Atlanta had a plan to build and create a team around the major positions on the field. The Jets did not have a plan.. only to throw Sanchez in there with essentially no help to execute and maximize his talents. Then USC head coach Pete Carroll, begged Sanchez not to turn pro when he did trying to convince him he needed more development.. Carroll knew before any of us, that Sanchez was headed toward a very dysfunctional team that had the potential to undermine his career. It's not Sanchez' fault. I don't condone how he acted on the sidelines last night, but wow, how many of us woudl have acted worse?

Game: New England Patriots vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
                                          Game Time: 12/23/2012 1:00:00 PM
                                          Prediction: Jacksonville Jaguars
Reason: 10* graded play on the Jacksonville Jaguars as they host the New England Patriots set to start at 1:00 PM ET. The simulator shows a high probability that JAX will lose this game by fewer than 13 points. Seems to be a reach, but the Patriots simply want to come into JAX and get a win and on several occasions over the years, they play a vastly more conservative scheme on both sides of the ball simply to minimize any mistakes that could give the inferior opponent any hope of winning the game. The Patriots are not likely to be seeded higher than third in the AFC. However, wins today and over Miami combined with Houston losses to Minnesota and the Colts would give them them the Top seed. Evidence of their conservative play is noted by the fact that the Patriots are just 8-19 ATS when playing against a terrible team posting a win percentage of <=25% or less with the game taking place in the second half of the season since 1992. JAX is coming off a 24-3 loss at Miami, but are a solid 12-3 ATS after scoring 6 points or less last game since 1992. Supporting this graded play is a proven system posting a 75-35 ATS mark for 68% winners since 1983. Play on home dogs or pick off a road blowout loss by 14 points or more with the game taking place in December. JAX has the worst run defense in the NFl and the Patriots will certainly be dedicated to giving Ridley a heavy dose of carries. Establishing the run will allow Brady more than ample time using play action to complete underneath routes and move the chains. For those fantasy players, I strongly believe Ridley could be one of the Top-3 point gainers today. This all seems like a positive sign for the Patriots, but with a scheme dedicated to the run, the clock will move quickly and the game shortened and this only gives JAX a chance to stay within two scores and continue to play hard. I like JAX to stay well within this number.

Griffin has great athleticism and is capable of making big plays outside of the pocket. He missed Week 15 with a knee sprain but is expected back versus the Eagles. He has adequate size with great quickness and excellent arm strength. He shows great poise in the pocket given his youth and has the vision and instincts to find open targets. Griffin has been extremely accurate, completing 66.4 percent of his passes. With the option package dimension the Redskins utilize, he becomes a duel threat with great speed and quickness to move the chains. RG III is a dynamic athlete who challenges defensive coordinators to make subtle changes when game planning for the Redskins, but he is unlikely to carry the ball much in Week 16.

Looking to the Sunday NFL card, there are several extremely important games for many teams still contending for a playoff position. The NFC East is by far the most uncertain with three teams, the Giants, Redskins, and Cowboys, in control of their own destiny for the most part. The Skins control their playoff destiny with a win or loss by both Minnesota and Chicago. It is even more simple for the Cowboys, who play the Redskins. Win and the Cowboys are in. Lose and they are out. The Giants are all, but out as they need to defeat the Eagles and then have a loss or tie with Dallas and losses by both Chicago and Minnesota. Eli Manning has not passed for more than 300 yards in his last eight games in large part because of the multitude of injuries to skill position players. The Giants are playing a very dysfunctional Eagles team, who will be starting Vick at QB, and who was not even the backup in last week’s game. One way to get Manning to that 300 level is to get the running game going against the 22nd best run defense. Moreover, Coughlin is 14-1 ATS after gaining 99 or less rushing yards in 2 straight games as the coach of the Giants. Take the Giants.

There might not be a quarterback in the league who has played as well as Rodgers in the second half of the season. He threw for 365 yards last week and makes remarkable throws that most quarterbacks wouldn't even attempt. Rodgers extends the play as well as anyone and is a timely and effective runner. Rodgers also is accomplished at handling rough weather.
