#1194Tonight I'm liking Troy plus the points and the under.. Was thinking Under 55, then thought Troy might be a better play.. Almost put in +6.5 (-102) but wanted +7, however that is (-125) and not worth it to me. Then I considered FIU TT Under 31, but I have decided to just pass. If it's not clear enough, it's not worth it. Especially in this slump I'm in. GL with whatever you guys play tonight.Originally posted by Donkwin47I like both the dogs tonight taking 2 TDs and 4 TDs.. Don't think both favorites cover.. It's not that I've been picking games wrong, I'm just making the wrong bets.. I'm not betting either of these, so you guys can bet em and enjoy.. GL.
Also, I added Titans ML to the 10 team Parlay. GL.Comment -

Just so you know you're not alone on this cold streak, how's this for a screwer? I took the Patriots about nine times in 3-team, 10-point teasers, at +7....everything looked great, until Polamalu illegally punches the ball out of the back of the end zone, changing the final score to 25-17 rather than 23-17...thus killing several hundred dollars of bets. I have decided that that was the last straw, and there is just no way to win this season. I'm done, but I will be back next season and will be looking forward to your picks. The NFL is just too inconsistent to bet on this year.

#1218Donk, was just browsing through a "Tom Brady sucks" thread and was surprised to see some retarded comments in there from you.....Seriously? If Brady sucks so bad, why were the Pats a 4* Donk play last week at Pittsburgh? Was it their crappy defense, or the fleet of average RBs that prompted that pick?
Get your story straight, bro.........

Donk, that's shocking to hear from you. I always respect your opinions, but this one is just insane. Manning has always had a go-to guy, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, even Dallas Clark to an extent. In all the biggest games of the last decade, Manning choked when it mattered. Manning won only one Super Bowl, thanks to Brady being unable to put the AFC title game away in 2006 because his #1 WR that year was Reche F$#$#ing Caldwell. Brady won three Super Bowls with mediocre offenses and solid defense. Deion Branch, David Givens, David Patten....if Manning was throwing to those guys, Colts wouldn't have done much at all.
To say that it's up for debate, or that they're both in the Top 10 all time, fine......to say it's an "absolute joke" that people just compare Brady to Manning is an ignorant statement, plain & simple.
The one (1) year that Brady actually had a legitimate deep threat (Moss), he threw 50 TDs and they should have gone 19-0....I know you're a Colts homer, and you're probably pissed about all those opportunities that Brady ruined for Ogre Manning, but let's be real.
Just face it, if neither of them wins another Super Bowl, Brady will go down in history as the better QB in most people's books. And I can guarantee that Manning isn't winning another one....his neck is jacked, and it's over. Good riddance, we don't have to see the Manning Face any more after yet another playoff INT.
I still respect you as a capper, but to dismiss Brady like he's even not in the discussion with Manning is probably the dumbest thing ever said, by anyone.Comment -

Most people that argue for Brady simply don't know football.. The Super Bowl argument is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.. I guess by that reasoning Trent Dilfer is far superior to Dan Marino.. Yeah.. Fuggin' right. People don't understand how the Patriots TEAM won those Super Bowls.. It was all about the defense.. And when Brady "drove down the field" to be a "hero", it was mostly screen passes to Faulk and slants to WRs and the didn't ever get the endzone, it was always Vinatieri after the stall.. Not to mention the fact that Brady hasn't won a playoff game since spygate.. Bellichick and him are simply cheaters..
What Manning does is more impressive than any QB ever and is simply incredible.. He makes extremely difficult throws with extreme precision consistently, and is a coach on the field.. He doesn't lead the team, he IS the team, and that's the biggest difference.. Brady is just a piece to the puzzle and rarely has to do anything more difficult than throw slants, screens, and 10 yard outs to small, speedy WRs, RBs in space, and wide open TEs..
Think about this.. Pull Brady from the Pats and throw in a guy who hasn't started a game since high school, and the Patriots go 11-5.. Pull Manning from the Colts and they don't win a single fuggin' game. I'm so glad the Colts are winless this year, maybe people will begin to comprehend the effect Peyton Manning has on a football game.
I'm not a homer for Peyton because I'm a Colts fan. Peyton is THE REASON I'm a Colts fan.. I'm a Manning fan. He earned that from me, a Chicago kid with no interest in anything in the state of Indiana at all.. He is the greatest of all time and I have nothing but pure respect for what he does. Most people don't understand the greatness they are witnessing every time he takes a snap, and for that I can only feel sorry for them.
Even though I know I know more than 99+% of people who talk out of their ass about football, if you don't care what I think, ask the hall of fame QBs:
"There are 20 living quarterbacks in the Professional Football Hall of Fame. We tracked them all down and asked: if you had to choose between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning to quarterback your team, who would you pick and why? The common denominator in all the responses was a groan and a chuckle. “How can you choose between Rembrandt and Van Gogh,” asked Steve Young. Every Hall of Famer agreed you couldn’t lose with either, and picking one didn’t mean you wouldn’t be happy to have the other. Everyone expressed admiration for both players and said, unequivocally, that they, too, would be wearing the yellow jacket one day in Canton. But when pressed to decide, the tally was 13½-2½, with four abstaining." (Vote in favor of Manning)
Spent way too much time on this, not gonna go more in depth, but this only scratches the surface. I feel sorry for people who just don't understand..Comment -

#1220Hah, yeah.. I was browsing today and saw that, too. I don't think Brady himself is a joke, but I definitely think it's a joke how many idiots actually think he's a better QB than Peyton. It's really not close. I have gained respect for Brady over the years and he has improved as a QB, but still.. It's a joke that so many people give him the credit he gets..

You can disregard the Super Bowl argument....but only to an extent. Say what you want about the Pats victories, close and decided by FGs. Manning brought the NFL's #1 offense into Foxborough in 2003 and 2004 and choked. You can give credit to the Pats defense, but you can't discredit those Colts teams that had tore up the NFL that year...it wasn't the Colts defense, WRs or RBs that threw three picks to Ty Law - Peyton did that on his own. Brady didn't make dumb turnovers, and that's why the Colts only won one Super Bowl...Manning was great in those seasons, but couldn't get it done in crunch time. Then the Colts also had to cry to the league that the Pats were being too physical with their finesse (pansy) WRs and seek rule changes....which is basically cheating on a more embarrassing scale. "Change the rules for us so we can compete with teams that are more physical." WTF? Just think, Manning was basically one wide-open Reche Caldwell dropped pass away from having never won a Super Bowl. Doesn't mean he's not great...just struggles in big games.
That all being said, the reason for all the animosity between Brady & Manning supporters is because that's part of being a fan of either team. Big, epic playoff battles breeds hatred. Colts fans hate Brady & the Pats....Pats fans hate Manning & the Colts. It comes with the territory & nobody is ever going to agree on who was better. The "coach-on-the-field" aspect might give Manning a slight edge from a historical perspective, but if the debate is to pick one QB for one big game, Brady is at least equal to Manning with regards to clutch rating.
Moving on (and thanks for your response - it's nice to know where people are coming from), Aaron Rodgers looks like he might end up being better than both of them. This Green Bay team is stacked, but he can make every throw on the field...too bad we didn't throw them into 6-point teasers all season..I think they've covered those every week so far.Comment -
