I'm staying far away from this one. Could easily make the case for both sides here.... but I wouldn't be surprised if Romo was knocked out of the game by halftime. Giants lead the league in knocking out the most QB's in a game. Dallas' O-line has no answer for that Giants D-line lately. I'm certain Romo isn't looking forward to this game.

Romo isn't going to get knocked out of the game. Just because the Giants knocked Cutler out of the game doesn't mean they will do the same to Tony. The Bears o-line is 100x worse than the Cowboys o-line. I will give you 20-1 odds Romo isn't out of the game by halftime.

Cowboys have now moved to 3.5 at most books. 5Dimes sticking with -3 and making you pay 30 cents to take the cowgirls.

I loved Cowboys before yesterday's games.
Not a good week for my system plays. Only Wash and Miami came through. Cinci, Denver, Min, N.O., San Diego, Phili all lost. Cowboys are in the list but not much confidence in the system this week after all the losses. Cinci, San Diego, Minnesota, Phili....I loved them all as much as Cowboys tonight. Didn't get any love back from these teams so I should stay away from this one.
Good luck to you!

Already have them at -3 and I think they win by 10+ so I took a shot.

Yep, the season will absolutely be over. Over 80% are taking their chances on that Giants money line, yet it keeps moving upwards

I don't really buy into systems, but if you aren't feeling the play no need to force the action just to have action. GL lineman if you decide to play this game.

Didn't Elli write "1st win" at locker room of the new stadium after its opening game? I think this is going to be a pay-back game.

yes he did and the Cowboys have not forgot about it, believe me.
This hasn't been a big story line up here but it's been a hot one in Dallas the past couple of months - especially this week leading up to the Cowboys-Giants matchup. And we've finally got confirmation on it.
The story is an Eli Manning autograph on the wall of the locker room in the Cowboys' new stadium. It was supposedly the real Manning's signature after the Giants' Week 2 victory that opened the place. It looked an awful lot like his real autograph, but it seemed very un-Manning-like to deface another's property.
Unless that person or organization asked for it. And apparently, they did.
"It’s a pretty common thing. I was asked to sign it," Manning said Thursday in confirming the authenticity of the signature. "It wasn’t like I just went there and signed it. I didn’t have a pen on me or anything."
Of course, below the score and the date, it reads, "First win in the new stadium," in what appears to be different handwriting than the signature. But that's certified Manning scribble as well.
"It was all me," Manning said.
Manning realizes the Cowboys' fans and a few players aren't happy about it - even though, again, their locker-room worker asked Manning to sign the wall as the start of a wall of fame of sorts similar to the ones Manning has signed in Philly and Denver (among other places).
"We won't forget that," Cowboys linebacker Bradie James said, according to The Associated Press. "It just makes for a more intense game."
Said Manning, "Yeah, I’ve heard a few things about it. But they’ll eventually get over it."
Well, it could be a while before that happens because even Cowboys coach Wade Phillips is upset with the gesture. And he didn't buy Manning's excuse a Cowboys employee asked him to sign the wall.
"It wasn't anybody from our organization that asked him," Phillipssaid, according to the Dallas Morning News, adding, "Things come back around in this league. I respect theteam we play. That's the way I approach the game and I expect ourplayers to do the same thing."
"Eli is a classy player, a great player," Phillips continued. "I reallyrespect him, especially his family. I mean, I played football againsthis dad in college. They're a great family. I don't think he meantanything by it but it wasn't a great thing for him to do."

GL Windy I think i'll ride Dallas with you. I defintiely think Giants are the better team, better coached, and tougher mentally. But just as everyone is scared to take Dallas this week, it may be the week they get a win. Similar to when everyone was scared to take SF against the raiders

Cowboys have been beating themselves with penalties and turnovers. They are 3rd in total offense and 4th in total Defense not a terrible team. Just making to many mistakes. They go on a 4 game winning streak starting tonight. Goodluck tonight

Been reading pretty much everything I can get my eyes on today for this game.
There is always this public mystique surrounding the Cowboys - kind of like the Yankees. Sure, they have talent every year, but can they win with it?
The Giants, on the other hand, are a decent team, but certainly are not any better than Dallas in terms of talent.
For me, there are four things that will make the difference this evening.
1. Dallas' offensive line vs. G-Men's defensive line.
It's a fair matchup in my opinion. Dallas can provide Romo with enough protection to hit his receivers. Not sure if they can hang on to the ball, but he should have time to get it there. Running game could have success as well. Dallas has the size and speed on that line to contain that pass rush, and they shouldn't be able to do to Romo what they did to Cutler. Also, Romo is a lot more mobile, and should be able to get away if need be.
2. Dallas' defense.
Dallas has lost by 6, 7, 7 and 3 - so it's not like they're getting killed out there. And let's be honest; if not for a retarded play just before the half in game one vs. the Redskins, they'd be 2-3 right now. They're 3rd in the league in passing (just over 300 ypg), but what's impressive is that their defense is 4th in the league against the pass (allowing 180 ypg) and 12th against the rush (allowing 100 ypg.) Their defense has been tested by good field position for their opponents, and a lack of turnovers. I think that the Giants can help with both. Giants turn the ball over a decent amount, and their kicking game will have issues this evening. Swing the field position, and the offense can be more productive.
3. Home field.
Now I hate the Cowboys with a passion. Hate them; so there's nothing I'd like to see more than Jerry get egg on his face. But that stadium will be ROCKING tonight. It's an incredible stadium, and will be packed on prime time with people just aching to burn the place down if the Cowboys lose tonight. They will be incredibly loud when the Giants have the ball, and I think the added pressure will mess up Eli enough to throw a pick or two. It can also mess with the kicking game as well.
4. Motivation.
Dallas pretty much knows that this game is their season. In this division, they simply can't afford to lose tonight's game. Now, does that mean that they will win? Of course not. However, it means that they should pull out all of the stops. The owner of the Cowboys; more than any other NFL team, is very public about their successes and failures. The expectations are just too high year after year. This year, the Super Bowl is in the new stadium in Dallas. Although I don't think they have a shot in hell at getting there, a loss tonight would pretty much guarantee it. Expect a high level of motivation and energy from the Cowboys this evening at home.
I don't post a lot like this, but to be honest, I don't see how the majority of posters think the Cowboys can't win. That's just plain ridiculous. That's like saying the Browns can't beat the Saints as 13.5 point dogs. Oops!
The tell-tale sign for me is the line. There is NO WAY a 1-4 team, even at home, should be laying 3-3.5 points to a 4-2 division rival. This game should be a pickem' at best, or the Giants should be a slight favorite.
The Giants are 2nd overall on defense against the pass (172 ypg allowed), and 7th against the rush (92.8 ypg allowed.) With no rushing game to speak of for Dallas, expect the Giants to go after Romo all night long, and force them to run. However, the Cowboys offensive line (as I mention above) should be able to handle the pass rush.
The stats absolutely favor the Giants on paper, and as such, should be favored here. But they aren't.
Public perception is that the Cowboys suck this year, and that although they need this game, they won't be able to beat the "better" Giants. At a different time this season, that may very well be true. But, not tonight.
If the Cowboys don't make stupid mistakes to give away the game (like they've done on a few occasions this year), they should win the game and cover the number.
I will take a desperate team at home over a team that has played one extra game so far this year, heading into their bye week.
I made one pick on these boards yesterday, and it was Carolina ML. Similar thinking applies.
Anyway, best of luck.
