Alright so currently the bears sit at -8, which is a no bet for me, I have the bears favored by a touchdown to win against the seahawks. However I can guarantee that the seahawks will lose, much more than the bears winning as seattle (terrible defense) will cough up the ball in the turnover battle and be having trouble against a strong chicago defensive line and elite linebacks corp (briggs health status uncertain about ankle so far, will find out by friday if he is playing) - Also if cutler and aroshamdu will play, i see the bears winning by 11, but also the bears offensive line needs to step it up, this game will not score more than 42 points, unless cutler has a 130 qb rating 3 td passing day, and also matt forte adds another td of his own. most likely the score will be 24-17, as hasselback has the ability to exploit the bears on 3rd and long. However if the bears line can get to their qb expect seattle to put up 10 or 13 points. Also chicago needs to be dedicated to the run.

Also note: If the bears can establish a running game early, this game will become a blow out because giving the bears defense a rest historically has lead to some very good shutouts at home. Weather should have no effect on this game as well, but being from chicago there might be a freak storm. The play, if the total is around 45 is under, and the lean is the bears -8.

Week 6: Jets @ Broncos

Even though the Jets haven't beaten the Broncos since 2002, only two games between that time to now. The Jets are a complete team to defeat the Broncos because the Broncos so far cannot defeat high defense teams like the Ravens. The Jets and Ravens are very similar, their Quarterbacks are game managers, their strong defense and running backs does most of the work.

Ravens in very difficult spot going to NE. On paper, Ravens are better...superior defense, more than enough offense to win. Still not sure which direction NE is headed in......coming in rested off bye week, Moss gone, Deion Branch returns (though don't know if he will be a factor), defense has been abysmal all year. But, last time they played, Ravens spanked them in NE in playoffs...Belichick will use that to motivate. And Brady is Brady. Ravens have won three straight to go to 4-1, and come off thorough beating of Denver. Get Buffalo next week, and then bye (after which Ed Reed returns), so Ravens can go all out here. I don't know...feels like a dangerous spot for Ravens. Can easily see this going either way. There are better plays on the board. This one is better for viewing than betting, imo. No play here for me.

Lived In DC for 10 years moved about 5 minutes away from the city since. By the way im a 1990 baby. AND NO I DONT LIKE THE SKINS. When I was younger my mother bought the movie the "Little Giants". Ever since then Ive been a COWBOY fan. I correctly predicted the OUTRIGHT win against Dallas and to take Washington +3 at home against the Packers. I dont recall if I bet the other games this season. I live here and get to see and feel the way things are going with the SKINS. As much as I hate them, I usually have a great time betting on them or against them. Add me to the List.

Right now I think that Skins +3 is a solid play against the Colts. I would wait on a higher line tho. Ill get in depth with this game even though I find it a hard bet to bet against Manning. Tough game really I wouldnt play this game if you have a stronger feel for another matchup.

Hello boys. I will start by telling you all that this confrontation has written CARNAGE all over it, for several reasons:
1. Steelers are coming after a bye so hey are well rested and Ben had time to sync with the WR.
2. Browns are devastated by injuries although they were not very good at what they were doing.At the QB position they will start with a rookie QB Colt McCoy who will not have any chance against the Pittsburgh defense. Harisson and Woodley will make him eat dust and Polamalu will intercept him 3-4 times.Browns will be without sensational RB Hillis and also without Rogers and Royal and the biggest problem for the Steelers in the past two years (Cribbs) missed part of training and he is banged up as well.
3.Steelers know they really must win this game to go 4-1 for up next are three trips to Miami, New Orleans and Cincy.
4. Ben wants to show everybody that he did not deserve what happened to him and that he is needed so the team could reach the playoffs again.
5. This game takes place on the Heinz Field where very few teams win.

The Steelers look to improve to 59-56 all-time against the Browns in the regular season.
Pittsburgh looks for its seventh straight win at home against the Cleveland Browns.
The Steelers look to improve to 9-1 at Heinz Field in the regular season against the Browns.
Pittsburgh looks to improve to 21-6 in the regular season at Heinz Field during the Mike Tomlin era.

So, although this is a division game where the ambitions are high and the teams know each other very well i don't see how Cleveland could cover 13 points. My choice here is Steelers -13 ATS and going a little further I predict a score of 38-10 Steelers.

I was waiting for the widely available line to finally come out. Packers laying the 3 is where it's at currently.

The story is Packers injuries, tons of them. Check the injury report, but from the top of the roster to the bottom, about 1/3 of the team is on the injury report. Key players are already lost for the season, such as Ryan Grant their #1 RB and LB Nick Barnett their defensive captain. The names are too many to list, but I counted a dozen starters from last year are out for this game. Many others are questionable such as their defensive key Clay Matthews who missed the most important part of the second half last week. Rodgers has been a concern all week, that's why the line has been off all week. He'll play, but he might get a quick hook if and when Miami gets to him. I'm just depressed about all of it.

Bottom line, fade the Packers. This team is in shambles. 2nd & 3rd stringers will be starting in many spots, even the regular guys who are starting are showing serious signs of wear (like Woodson, who looks like a shadow of himself with toe and back problems or Cullen Jenkins who has a club for a right arm due to a hand injury and he can't grasp anything with that hand to make tackles).

I am writing this thread to form a network of intelligent individuals who want to simplify their work, and increase their earnings. Here is my idea.

Betting on sports can be an elaborate process. This process takes intelligence, energy, and countless hours to determine which bet is right.

I propose a network of 32 people, with one person covering "his team". For example: I have followed the 49ers since I was 10, and know the team inside and out. I knew that they would lose to the Chiefs, and even stated in a previous post that Arrowhead stadium would overwhelm Alex Smith. I also know from experience that they have historically played very poorly at the Chiefs home-turf, which is why I chose the Chiefs again to win, and win handily at home. With one person being assigned to "his team" individuals can converse with each other throughout the week to determine which has the better chance and picks will be emailed to the network, after a trial run or two of course.

What I do not want is unrealistic people that believe "his team" will win the Superbowl every year. This can be a drawback, because it creates a bias. Nevertheless, this process could work. Reply to this post if interested. I have the 49ers covered. We still have 31 positions available.

Bro you took the words right out of my mouth. This is what i wished i could do with 31 of my friends, but none of them are good at picking games to bet on. But anyways this is a very good idea if we can finds who know how to control their emotions and see their team for what is worth and not be biased. I love the giants and apart from the loss to titans(where giants shot themselves in the foot with a semi automatic) i was rock solid on every other game. I am ready to be in on this. I think lions are a alot better than their record but the beef i have is that calvin johnson is listed as questionable, and even if he does play hes not gonna have a good game because hill is gonna struggle against the giants pass rush. I also been paying attention to the Defensive formations and giants are playing alot of 3 saftey formations which is very unorthadox but its working very well to stop the pass and at the same time stuff the run becuase giants have 3 top class safties in, rolle, philips and grant. Im gonna give lions 19 points at most... 1 REC td by Best and 4 field goals because of giants giving opponents good field position because of poor coverage in the kicking game

THIS THREAD IS ABOUT CAPPING GAMES INVOLVING A PARTICULAR TEAM OF WHOM YOU HAVE SPECIFIC BENEFICIAL INSIGHT INTO.

1) if you DONT follow the team, and it is not your #1 team or the team which you understand eveyrthing about, DO NOT POST HERE.

2) DO NOT post based on silly emoitions. post based on your special insight into the team that you are representing. also, give knowledge which other 'normal' nfl followers would not have been aware of with respect to the game involving your team.

3) do not count yourself 'in' to represent a team unless you are a good capper, and futhermore have special/particular success capping your team and predicting how they will fare.
