NFL Week EIGHT...early release
Guys. We have a pretty nice play here that I want to release early for you guys to strike on when the time is right for you. Right now we have a pending line in most of the offshores...your line on the Vikings has been all over the place with every news blurb about old man Favre. Most of the books out in Vegas are +7 and +6.5 so wait for that one wherever you are.

The New England Patriots have not been themselves since the departure of Randy Moss. Last week Brady and company could only must 188 yards offense against San Diego. Tom Brady is missing his favorite receiver in Moss and their running game stinks these days.
If you have been following me, this again is one of our favorite plays. Everybody is wondering once again, "Will Bret Favre play this week". The line opened at -5.5 but is constant flux on the Favre situation. We love to play the first game when the starting QB is out, and that may happen here. Teams buck up to fill the gap, and show everybody "We can still do it without him".
Tarvaris Jackson isan adequate quarterback and will keep the Vikings in the game. On the other hand, if the old man can take the field once again, and keep the streak alive, he will bomb the Pats weak secondary all afternoon.
The Patriots have given up over 285 yards passing each week over the last three games. New England is also rated 17th in run defense, and they will have to contend with Adrian Peterson, which is no easy task. This game means much more to the Vikings, who are two games behind Green Bay while the Pats are tied with the Jets, but have a two game lead over Miami.

Sure..correlated parlays are GREAT. You increase your odds ever so slightly, but whatever you can do to help bring in a win. Personally I like the bet on the dog and the under, but I typically can't get that combination in. That hole is for the most part patched across the board. Careful trying to pull it on the little local guys or the underdeveloped offshores. They might take your money and run.Comment -

THOUGHTS: The Dogs were barking again last week going 8-5 against the spread, with 5 of them winning straight up. Both the Ravens and Saints opened as -14 point favorites with the biggest upset of the week coming when the Cleveland Browns blew away the World Champion's in New Orleans 30-17. The Ravens barely won their game in Overtime 37-34 against the winless Bills. So in case you're still wondering, the Sports Books in Vegas had another BIG winning week. You could hear the Parlay and Teaser tickets being ripped up when these two big favorites bite the dust. Once again, beware laying the big lumber this year in the NFL, parity has returned....We learned that the hard way early on.
This week's games mark the half-way point in the NFL season and the AFC is dominant over the NFC. Every team in the NFC have at least two losses already, while in the AFC three teams the Jets, New England, and Pittsburgh are all 5-1.
For NFL Week #8 Here are the plays:

The Chargers lead the league in both Offense and Defense, but sport a crappy 2-5 record. This team is never ready at the start of the season, and has a history of winning 5 to7 in a row at the end. They need to ship their coach Norv Turner and the whole special team off to Siberia. They Chargers showed signs of life last week, when they scored 17 points in the fourth quarter of last week's game against New England. It is now time to stop fooling around and play some football.
Here are the reasons we like San Diego:
The money is all on the Titans here...(and we just love to bet against the stupid public). The computer easily picks the Chargers because of their great stats...They win this big on paper. The last time the Titans came to San Diego, they lost 40-7 as Jeff Fisher is only 2-10 against the spread when he visits the west coast.. This is a must, must game for the Chargers, no more fooling around...The season is over with another loss. This will be a double-digit win for the Chargers.

[229] Pittsburgh Steelers +1 over the New Orleans Saints

Last week the Steelers put on an impressive show on defense...at least from my perspective. The team made an impressive number of both red zone stops and goal to goal...They only won by a hair sure.. teams that put on a show at that level usually dominate (and I really mean dominate) the next round. The problem I have here with making this pick larger is the Saints... No..not that they are the Super Bowl Champs, in fact statistically it pays to be against the champs any year. No, in this case the Saints just put the stats on the board versus the Browns last game, and lost it on shaky legs. They are on an emotional drive here. I think this could be a low scoring game, but if you haven't noticed..we typically stay away from the game totals. Anyways...the Steelers pulled off something rare, and they are definately a higher level team this year. Take them for AT LEAST 2 units. I am cautious here...

We really like the winless Buffalo Bills to maybe notch their first win, or at least cover the spread. The 0-6 Bills are still playing under the radar if you can believe that. Last week against the highly praised Baltimore Ravens defense, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 374 yards and four touchdowns. The Bills are winless, but they have played very tough against teams like the Ravens, where last week as +14 point dogs they lost in OT by three points. Last month against league leading New England, again as a +14 point dog, they only came up short by 8 points....yes I took that one...I know...I know. Heard it a million times...last year those sort of plays were great...as previously mentioned though, parity is back so we can't do wild plays like that anymore...not that it was ever really a SOLID plan...but we're on top and evolving now. This week I smell money.
Anyways...the Bills now face a much easier Chiefs team and are getting +8 points, after staying much closer to top teams like Baltimore and New England. The Chiefs should not be favored by more than a touchdown in this game, and if they Bills do get behind, Fitzpatrick will be a throwing machine once again, and secure the back door cover after the game has already been decided.
