Hmm looks a little to easy don't you think? I like the Steelers to cover 7 but I'm kind of leaning Panthers +10.5 this weekend. I don't personally like a side in the Cowboys and Lions game. You just don't know which Dallas team will show up this week and they might be still on their high horse after a division win. But remember they are 2-7 and they play like a 2-7 team, nothing more.

Yup, I love them on Sunday. Don't know if I'm going to make the Falcons -3 or Green Bay -3 my big play this weekend. One of the two will cover in my opinion, maybe even both. Going to look into it some more tomorrow afternoon.

Yeah they are 2-7 but they got a huge confident boost from beating Giants (who was 6-2 before the game so therefore they couldn't possible lose to a 1-7 team like dallas right..?) and I think they will a massive home support. And also Detroit is a 2-7 team aswell.. but I'm guessing Dallas got some more momentum coming into this game. I dont think they will come in on a high horse though with their record in mind, their coach will tell them to keep working hard.

I just unloaded on dallas -6.5... I feel like wade phillups being fired was the best thing for them and really opened the players eyes. What better way to continue your winning ways then hosting detroit on your own turf... I'm looking for a blowout in this one

As for the Cowboys -6.5 I just don't know which team will show up. If they played motivated like they did against the Giants then -6.5 won't be a problem. Whats making me stay away from this game is that Dallas tends to play to their opponents potential. The bigger the game the better they play the worse the team they play like a bunch of little girls taking dumb penalties. Not even a new coach could change that so thats what is keeping me off them this week. And plus I won money on Dallas +14.5 last week so I won't chase with them again, theres better plays on the board in my opinion.

D3, I've been lurking in your string for quite some time. What I've gathered is that you are my choice for capper to follow. I really appreciate your insight weekly - wish I would have tailed you much more often.

Question tho, is why you like to tease totals. It seems like teasers get way more leverage when you tease a side than the total, since the total basically is distributed across two teams. Get what I'm saying. If I had 7 points, I'd put it on a side than a total. Any thoughts?

Teasing totals have been said to be "not smart" because of exactly what you said. If you really look closely how often does a total come within the posted total that Vegas puts out. Vegas never ever gives away free money remember that and the total, spread, prop whatever they put out they put a lot of time into it and thats why we see common pushes or backdoor covers or whatever.

I agree with teasing the spread makes a lot more sense but teasing the total has worked and has been successful for me, but thats just me though. For example my teaser this week in the Colts/Pats and Cards/Chiefs I decided to tease the total on both of them because I like the original line without the 6 point. Instead of playing each game individually I decided to take 6 points on both of the total and to try to beat the books. Yes, now I have to swallow the $50 bucks juice but it could be the difference between a win or a lose. Call me square but its been working for me this year for the most part and has always been successful for me.

Don't take this the wrong way D3, but is it hard for you to be objective on Falcon Games? New to this thread and noticed your Falcon avatar. You're obviously a solid capper but I think it's a fair question. I'm a HUGE Packers fan and haven't played them much all year. It's like I know them too well; all the injuries they've sustained and how it's impacted their year so far. I know I've missed some bets on them along the way, Jets game comes to mind. Anyway, just wondering.. Keep up the good work bro..

I try to stay away from betting on the Falcons this year I don't think I've taken them ATS or moneyline at all this season if I recall correctly. This has been the only week where I'm actually debating on throwing some money down on them ATS but I try to avoid betting on them for several reason. If I know one team inside out in the NFL, its the Falcons. When it comes to betting this could hurt you real bad. So far I only have the Falcons -1.5 for the 1 Half because my local book was offering a really good price on it. Might be a little fishy of a price but after the way Atlanta played last week I'm having a tough time just passing up on them. I think there in a great spot right now to cover the spread. But to really answer your question its better to not bet on a team that you follow closely because sometimes knowing a little to much can hurt you.
