Also, while it is true the starters will play longer, the Pats want to give Maroney a lot of work here after he hardly played the first two games, so more running = a shorter game that favors bigger dogs.

Rams are actually 4-2 in preseason under Spagnolo (or however you spell his name), they know they suck so they get their jollies by winning in preseason. Same thing with Lions, they are on 8-2 preseason run SU.
