#4Twisted would be better than broken, but a bummer for a guy who signed a contract to get into camp and start practicing (that and NOT carry anyone else's shoulder pads...)Comment -

#7Dez Bryant was one of the most talented receivers in college last year. He got hosed, Dion Sanders is an asshole, I hope he plays this year and does well.
And deep down, I kinda like the kid for not carrying Roy Williams' pads. Roys a hack."This is why my basketball intelligence is unmatched on this site. I'm sure there are better cappers but no one can tell you the strategies of most coaches before the game even starts "

#11it tradition. You just suck it up and do it. When Jermey Shockey was a rook, he refused to get up and sing his college fight song. Brandon Short got up and almost beat him down. They had to be seperated by coach Coughlin. It's stupid sheit, but you gotta do it.Comment -

#18Clipped from the ESPN article by Tim McMahon: Dallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver
Dez Bryant suffered a right high ankle sprain near the end of Friday's practice,
and the team said he will be out 4-6 weeks.
That means Bryant could miss the entire preseason.
The injury occurred after cornerback Orlando Scandrick broke up a pass intended
for Bryant on the second-to-last play of practice. Backup quarterback Jon Kitna
threw the ball slightly behind Bryant on a crossing route, and Scandrick made a
good play on the ball and landed on Bryant's leg.Comment -

#24No way in hell Dallas goes to the Super Bowl this year. The Dallas economy would only make half as much from visitors.
Vegas will also not allow it.

#25Dallas is the HOT pick every year. The will fold late and if they get in, they will just lay over and Wade will be on the hot seat again and maybe out of a job. Anybody remember Jason Garrett. He was the hot azz prospect 3 years ago. The new hot OC. Well buddy you should have taken one of those jobs.(Ravens or Falcons) How stupid does he look now.Comment -

#30High ankle sprains are a cancer to speed positions like WR. Dude will never be at full speed in 2010. No way he supplants Roy Williams now. Dude will be riding pine and playing spot duty to work himself into the lineup. Cowboys should quick hire Cris Carter as an assistant WR coach to give whatever magical mentorship to Dez that he gave to Randy Moss and got him established in the league. Remember that all of Moss' troubles started when Carter retired. These punk mouth kids need a father figure, someone they can trust.
As for the Cowboys 'laying down' late in the year, as a couple people mentioned above. Didn't you guys pay attention in 2009? This isn't your daddy's Cowboys anymore. They were kicking butt and taking names in December until they ran into elite Minny. This team has grown up and proven that they can win games with the season in the balance, something the haven't done since Barry Switzer left.Comment -
