This is the third or fourth year it's been "your year" without these cowboys even sniffing a trophy. Dez Bryant was supposed to be the talent to get you over the hump, doesn't look like that's going to pan out with him missing the preseason as a rookie. I'm sure next year will be "your year" again when Dez is healthy and you've picked up another expensive free agent (who inevitably will be another bust).

Yeah you're right. We had the talent to win it all last year and should have. Dallas destroyed New Orleans on the road and would have done the same in the playoffs. But the O-line fell apart against Minny. Getting rid of Flozell was the best move Dallas made over the off season. The Offense was #2 offense in the league last year...so Dez is just another weapon it's not like the really needed another WR. What expensive free agent did we pick up this year ??? You may hate the Cowboys but they do have the talent to win the superbowl this year and took a big step last year winning a playoff game. Let me know who your team is ....maybe we can come up with some type of wager.

Good points. I still think Roy Williams has a chance to be decent. I don't understand all of the hate, except that it's the Cowboys and everyone hates the Cowboys. Roy was a stud in Detroit where they didn't have any other weapons and not much for QB or other offensive firepower. I don't really get why he is floundering except maybe he got his fat contract and took a couple years off. The guy is still a stud if he can find it in himself, maybe Dez can push him just enough to bring that fire back out or whatever motivates him to excel.

BTW, I hate the Cowboys too, but when it comes to betting, I try to put my bias aside. The Cowboys are a solid team right now. I wasn't betting them when they were choking in years past, but last year you could tell that this wasn't those same old chokers late in the season.

I'm an Iggles fan, though I did take Dallas a couple times last year (though the Dallas-Eagles games cost me some money). I also like the Saints and Jets, and though I usually root for the Colts, I think they could have an off year. I already took a prop for 1,000 pts this season with paulypoker, and I wouldn't bet on the Birds finishing ahead of the Boys this year, they're definitely division favorites. I do think that the Eagles will beat Dallas to a Lombardi trophy with all these young up and comers.

I know Dallas didn't go out and make a big free agent acquisition this year, I was just referring to JJ's penchant for doing things like that. Dez Bryant was supposed to be the new weapon this year. What I was saying was that this is just about the same team that (pretty much 100% healthy) didn't look even close the Vikings last year. A couple things don't go your way health wise, and Dallas could very easily be one and done if they make the playoffs.

As long as I'm talking to a Dallas fan that seems logical, what do you think went so wrong with the birds that we looked like the detroit lions the minute we arrived in Jerryworld? I mean, the boys have a good squad, but the Eagles are way better on paper than the team that came out on the field.

EDIT: Also, Dallas beat a depleted New Orleans team that was resting a lot of it's semi-injured defenders. The Saints playoff defense was way stronger than the one Big D beat.

I have to agree with you 100% about Dallas being a couple injuries away from a one and done playoffs. The biggest issue with Dallas this year is going to be depth. If they lose any OL , Corner or Demarcus for any length of time they could be in some trouble.
The Dallas defense seemed to dominate the Birds Offense last year. The big difference was the pressure we could get on Mcnabb last year. I think that pressure kept Mcnabb from making any of those big plays that he always seems to get against us. ( I hate Mcnabb) I do think if your O-line is better this year and you can get some consistant QB play that Your Eagles have alot of good young players and could make a run this year. I really do like the weapons that they have brought in on the Offense. I can't wait for the season to start!! Maybe a friendly wager on the season series will be in order. let me know.

O.K. maybe destroyed was a strong word. You had some back up corners playing sure but your offensive was fine and had alot of trouble moving the ball against the Dallas Defense. I think we were up 21 -0 and the saints scored a late TD to make it look closer than the game really was...... But you won the superbowl and thats the game that really counts so congrats


And by the way..our best player on Defense was not even close to 100% and only played 50% of the defensive snaps
