    XFL thoughts and gambling angles..

Week one starts today. Small on dogs on the ML as teams aren't tested yet and players are out shape. Anything can happen..

One angle is the clock runs constantly even on incomplete passes. Quarters fly by and I don't see a ton of scoring. Kinda leaning on the UNDERS in week one..

    That's all I got!

    Anybody watching XFL?

    1) They're trying a unique Kickoff rule. Designed to cut down on the big collisions.

    2) Challenge rule = just one. Must have Timeout available, and you can challenge ANYTHING.

Will be interesting to see if an NFL starter emergences from the XFL. NFL Developmental leagues have had tough time sustaining.

Of course, there have been NFL stars who have emerged from other leagues. Two best that come to mind:
*Warren Moon - from the CFL.
*Kurt Warner - from the Arena Lg and NFL Europe.

Absolutely LOVE the Challenge rule! They've done this in the CFL for years and it is great. You can challenge anything but you only get one, so most coaches save it till the 4th Q. It is gold and hopefully is adopted by the Shield at some point!

From what I saw, the gameplay looked pretty good. The level of play has to be good enough to capture the eyes of viewers.

Will be looking forward to what player's career is revived. AJ McCarron?

One of the dogs on the ML have to win out right today.

Favorites can't keep winning like yesterday. Season just started it's a coin flip. Still sticking to my guns. ML dogs for small. I give up if it doesn't happen today..

Interesting rules. Try live betting teams behind on the 4th quarter ml. Lots of rules that allow for an improbable comeback

Opti, Dickson is regarded as one of the best punters in the league. He has all the variations that he's worked on.

My favorite Aussie punter was Darren Bennett. He blew up a few return-men who thought the last-man would be a pushover.

Apparently not unless there is a hot dog surprise a waiting in that chick once she undresses.

Digg, nice piece. I knew Garcia had played in another league. Had to look it up:

*4x CFL All-Star. As well as 4x NFL Pro Bowler, not bad at all.

Garcia was well-regarded. He was definitely tougher than your average NFL quarterback.

Here's the playoff game that I remember Garcia being involved in:
*Junkin bad snap on the FG.
*Refs mangled the play. Should have been offsetting fouls for a) Illegal Man Downfield and b) Pass Interference:

    Digg:

*As for your question about Garcia's orientation...MAYBE.

Was reading his bio. He had four kids w/ that girl. So, he liked females.

But he may have liked guys, too. Garcia was quoted as saying that he co-parents the four kids with that girl. He said they're still friends but that things happen.

Bet on Wade Phillip's team. He's the only proven NFL head coach.

Couple of the XFL games were very exciting.. Crazy rules at the end of games to give opportunities for a comeback wins. I noticed defenses gas quickly with the high pace also.
