Just want to get the other sides perspective on this...Manning had one week to prepare for arguably the best defense in the NFL, and he shredded them. He now has two weeks to prepare for one of the worst statistical defenses in the NFL. I know they force a lot of turnovers, but that can't be considered a possible game changer because Manning takes care of the ball. When facing defenses ranked 20th or worse this year he averaged 310 yards passing, and threw 20 TD's to only 5 interceptions. Thoughts anyone?

Saints are more known for forcing turnovers literally even on offense nobody put it better than Shannon Sharpe when
Robert Meachem chased down Kareem Moore after a Breeze interception only to steal it right back off of him to return it for a Saints touch down in week 13 against the Redskins, Shannon said "Thief!!" if this man did this on the street he would have been arrested as a criminal. All 22 starters practice this in every practice, also the way they got away with potential homiside on Brett Farve, Damn near Killed him I'll add, I see the same happening to Manning and he simply never had to deal with this kind of shear torture before, it will be interesting to see how Peyton handles itComment -

#3Pauly, FYI his name is spelled FAVRE, not Farve..
and if you look at the stats, Favre was sacked 34 times this year.. compared to the 10 sacks manning had to endure.
Manning WILL NOT, I repeat WILL NOT have to go through what Favre did.. the colts know that he is the key to their offense, and has made it top priority to protect him at all cost, at all times.. also he is not a glory hog like favre is. if he sees the pressure coming, and knows he made the wrong adjustment, no problem, he will go down and hit em for 20 on the next play..
the saints have a bad habit of being to aggressive and get many unneccissary penalties. i GUARANTEE you that if they try to pull the same bullshiiit in miami, as they did in N'Olens, the refs will be giving manning yards on a silver platter. you will not see the Colts give up 5 turnovers in this game, ill put down every point I have on that one.
manning and brees can both score, and will score.. what this will come down to is the defense. i give more credit to the colts, and will make enough key stops to keep them in the lead.

Pauly, i do read a lot of your posts, and you always make these predictions, and have all of these conspiracies behind why they do not go your way.. how games are fixed, and the media controls the outcome and whatnot. not to mention you always bring up all these statistics.. some relevant, and some absolutely pointless and i feel like you never consider the other side. i have seen you yoyo from warner to favre to brees, predicting superbowl contests based on the media, book conspiracies, pointing out how the dogs must win because otherwise the books lose money.. Pauly, have you ever considered that while, yes there will be times where the dogs upset, and the books make money, but other times the public covers, and the books have to pay out money? i dont mean to bash but when i first joined this board and saw your posts, some were interesting and compelling despite the fact that you never punctuate and cant spell for shit.. but you also make these off the wall predictions and comparisons without ever publicly stating your sides, yet claim records, and call people out while staying cryptic at the same time.. im not trying to bash you or anything, im just trying to be honest. if i am coming off as rude i apologise in advance.
the fact of the matter is that we can put up all the facts and figures that we want, but sports can go either way.. no matter what the stats are, the big dogs can be defeated, and the underdogs can be victorious.. the stats dont really matter, it comes down to experience, motivation, and execution.
with that said, the colts are a well oiled, meticulous, calculating machine. they have arguably one of the best qbs ever to play the game, and have the experience of being in the SB before, which counts for something..
so all stats aside, i say that the colts will cover, and win.Comment -

#8there are more people on the colts D than FREENEY, and APPARENTLY you cant spell, as I have seen a lot of your work. #10granted there are more bets on the superbowl, but the thing is that this is the time where people who never ever bet come on and join the action.. while the percentages of the bets may be on one side, the side has been fluctuating up and down due to the money coming in on both sides.
there are plenty of people who have a soft spots for the saints and will bet on them, and other sharps who go by stats and will put money on the saints. on the flip side there are people who watch a lot of ball who think the saints got lucky, or are manning backers, or sharps who see the other obstacles like experience, penalties, and intangibles who will put money on the colts..
sure the books may not make the full 10 percent, they may make 6 percent, or hell maybe even 3 percent.. but 3 percent of 100 million dollars is not a bad deal for one days work.
not to mention all of the money that will be lost on prop bets and all that other crap.
the thing that would make the books lose money is getting middled, which is something that they will never ever let happen again!
in normal circumstances i would say that you are right, and that it would be an extremely tight game, but knowing that the colts have been here, have the experience, have a more sound and methodical approach to the game, i think they will just march to victory.. i think the pressures of the big game, playing out of their element, and the pressures of the city and the media will be too much for them to overcome.
however, i do wish them luck because my roots are in Louisiana and ill be partying my ass of no matter who wins!Comment -

#11Great point Manning vs Saints D is this game and he'll eat them alive. Pauli I belive you must have missed Garson do the same on a Int when he ran down Blt to make a fumble to get the ball back. Vs blt in the playoffs. The ain't D gives up way to many pts for the turnovers the make. Without all of the turnover they might have the Worst D in the NFLComment -
