Every. Single. Person. who watched that game knew that the Cardinals were laying down, and the Packers were building momentum for the playoffs.
Perhaps someone looking to win the lottery was tuned into something else on Sunday. Maybe the Adult Swim reruns at 8pm, but really?
A sharp bettor would be someone who gave a legitimate reason as to why ken whisenhunt rested most of his starters, but let fitzgerald stay out and risk injury while he tried to gain 100 catches on the season.Comment -

#38There is no better angle when 95% of the posters are on the same side.
I love Arizona in this game.
Arizona is -109/Green Bay is +107 @ Matchbook on the money line.
I am willing to offer +110 and the Packers straight up to anyone who would like to bet. I'll take Arizona on the moneyline and lay 11 to 10.
I have 713 SBR points so all those interested in betting on the Packers, please go to the SBR points section and find my post.
Once again, I'm offering +110 on the Packers straight up which is slightly better than any price you can find.Comment -

#40Cinderella's are so called caused they only happen once, Arizona is not in the same space/zone that they were in last year at this time. Green Bay is the Cinderella team this year. Dallas is outstanding right now while New Orleans is hopeless and exhusted. Green Bay/Minnesota is a great matchup.
I would prefer Minnesota but this one is left to the heavens and either Brett Favre is the hero or goat.
If indeed Green Bay is this year Cinderella team then good things will happen for them including at least two interceptions. While I don't have much respect for Green Bay but know that I should, Favre is one of the best and with a Superbowl win this year he is in top 3 best ever quarterbacks behind Montana and Namath. Brett Favre has had an outstanding year and clearly on a mission as is Green Bay.Comment -

#42You have to love teams that come into the playoffs, hot and the Pack fit the mold. I like they didn't rest their starters last Sunday and kept them in their routine. Resting is for the offseason. Players get paid to play.Comment -

#45Holy shit almost every guy in this thread is on gb. They got whipped twice by minny and big ben shredded them apart and not to mention that tb scored at will on them. Are you kidding you think gb is going to win in the desert 2 weeks in a row? I would take warner over rodgers(no playoff games) anytime. Just like last year when so many thought zona would lose to the falcons and their amazing run game lol. Plus whisenhunt prepares his teams better for big games than mccarthy and that has been proven. Cards all the way.Comment -

#46I agree with you lakerboy somewhat on GB's defense! They definitely have been lit up at times this year and I don't see how they're ranked so high? I still think they win this weekend though! GB has straightened out their O-line problems and Rodgers is on fire! As good as Warner is....he does turn the ball over & Beanie/Hightower have a serious case of fumble-itis too! This one could go either way but I like my GB+120 play!Comment -

#48too many injuries on the Zona side. Plus teams that have the higher seed and the worse record lose 65% ATS I believe. I have to look that up for the exact % but it is well over 60%Comment -

#52Who?
The Cards aren't missing anyone. DRC & Campbell are playing. I think Boldin will play, but remember that the Cards beat the Panthers last year in the playoffs 33-13 without him.
Don't forget that Woodson for the Packers left the game with an injury as well...Comment -

#53From ESPN NFC West blog:
"Rodgers-Cromartie suggested he might not play if he cannot practice Thursday. Young players sometimes react to injuries more dramatically than veterans who have suffered them before. Rodgers-Cromartie (bruised knee). Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt downplayed Rodgers-Cromartie's injury early in the week, saying he expected the Pro Bowl corner to "progress rapidly" this week. Perhaps there was a self-fulling aspect of the proclamation."
I think DRC will play. Boldin was stuck on the bicycle today, and I doubt he goes at 100%.
Woodson's injury was considered insignificant. He could have gone back in, but McCarthy held him out.Comment -

I agree though, i think NFC Championship will be Green Bay at Dallas, and if they played that game right now, Dallas would only be -3. Then you'd have to factor in how badly the Pack beat the top-seeded Saints to get there.Comment -

#58Saints and Vikings were both different teams late in the year than earlier on. Eagles seem to play better when everyone counts them out and Packers are hotter than Vikes, which was not the case first two meetings when Minny was peaking.Comment -

#61I think it's down to 1 point, now.
I know exactly how good GB is. I live in Wisconsin. I've followed this team, religiously, since I could throw a football.
There are weaknesses in this team which remain mainly hidden because we haven't played anyone all year. It's hilarious how people watch us pound a resting Cardinals team and think we'll do it again next week. It's like basing something off a preseason game. It just amazes me.
Don't get me wrong, beating any NFL team is no easy task. But this is the playoffs. Maybe it's more that I have genuine respect for some of these other teams in the tournament rather than knocking a decent Packers team which remains untested in a win-or-go-home atmosphere. The Cards ARE tested and they are playing at home, which is significant in the playoffs.Comment -

#66I don't think it matters what Arizona team shows up... it all lies with Green Bay. If GB shoes up ready to play, they win. If they don't, they lose. If both teams play up to their full potential, I give GB the nod.Comment -

#68Browsed most of the comments, but forgive me if I am redundant.
AZ does not have much home field advantage to speak of.
DRC not playing would be a much bigger factor than Boldin being out.
AZ is the king of turning it around after a poor performance. Being that it is against the same team, perhaps this will hold true all the more.
AZ has a great run defense so Grant aint doing crap for whoever said that.
One thing that worries me about Arizona besides the fact that Rogers is a great one and can make plays with his feet which is huge in the playoffs(Running for first downs on third down is a back breaker) is that few teams have the stomach to make runs in the playoffs in back to back years.
Still leaning Arizona unless DRC is out or appears to be a head case about his owie.Comment -

#69Usually a good fact when it comes down to how good a team is..their 3rd conversion rate...Packers rank 3rd in the league at 47...Cardinals rank 21 in the league at 36... Cardinals -7 in the turnover margin while Packers are a +24...this ain't last years superbowl team!
Everything...i mean..everything points to a Packers win. Stats and everything. But then agian, thats why they plaay the game!Comment -
