Back on the board! The bet was safe after the 1st qtr even though Port decided to sleep for the remaining 3 qtrs!

Kopite it kills me to say it, but dont think the Hawks will make it...not after that ridiculous decision to suspend Franklin.

Im going to play 2 games this week. The first game is the Carlton Blues vs Adelaide Crows.

One of the biggest and most important matches of the year for these two sides. The winner finishes 5th and secures a home final, while the loser could slip down to 7th spot and have to play on the road in the finals.

Carlton have suspended a couple of players due to disciplinary reasons and they are massive losses. Both small crumbing forwards who are important to Carltons structure. If the Crows contain Fev, then goals will need to come from the midfield, which is a hard thing to do against this Crows team.

Adelaide were impressive against West Coast last week. While it is always hard to travel after such a big win, it wasnt a taxing game so they will have enough in the tank to play this one out. Adelaide are still underrated and i expect them to get the win tomorrow.

The other match is Port Adelaide Power vs North Melbourne Kangaroos.

Port did the job for us last week. The Roos pulled off a massive upset in an ugly match vs the top of the table Saints. Unless Hawthorn win and Port win by 100+ pts then Port cant make finals. Its basically a game worth nothing. Except players careers. The Roos just appointed their new coach for next season and will want to impress.

Short and sweet. Its going to be bad weather, bad standard of footy so it will stay close. This makes Kangas the bet.

Bet: Adelaide Crows H2H

Bet: North Melbourne Kangaroos +18.5

Solid pick on the crows melo, they made my selections too. I cant believe I got them at +9.5 at the line earlier in the week, even money now!

ps early market open (centrebet) for collingwood v geelong if they meet next week at 1.90 each, collingwood look great value. cats have not covered a line for 10 straight weeks and collingwood have covered 10 of their last 11. bookies are still over-valuing the cats.

What are your thoughts for the premiership?

Im going for melb +50.5 today against saints, what do u think? they been playing alright the past few games and dont think wanna end the season with a trashing

Hey twinky, Im on the dees with a start for a small bet also. It really could go either way (so hard to tell with such big starts) but the dees have covered 9 of the last 10 lines when playing at the MCG and the saints havent played there at all this year! With such a huge point start combined with saints lack of recent form Im sure that swings things in our favour.

Thanks guys, a good week again! The Roos game went just as expected, bad conditions kept it close and Adelaide gave the Blues a belting. Now its finals time..

Obviously anything can happen in finals but i still think the Saints are the ones to beat. They will start to pick up the intensity and will just squeeze the life out of teams. Adelaide are the roughies for me. Home final this week which they should win then will have to travel to Melbourne, but they are good enough to win anywhere.

No big write up for this one. It is simply a case of the better team wins for me. Geelong are a finals team and they will show why they are still champions.

I may also be playing the Saints tomorrow but will wait and see on that one..

It was only a 14pt margin but the Cats were never in doubt. They are still a gun team and it would be very suprising if they dont play off in the grand final.

As for tomorrows game, St.Kilda Saints vs Collingwood Magpies -

Again, no massive write up required. The better team in the Saints should win this. Although the Maggies come into the finals with possibly the best form over the past 12 weeks, and the Saints had a couple of losses in the last few rounds, the Saints have been put on a training regime which will have them at full flight for the finals. They will apply pressure in every contest and will strangle the life out of the Pies.

Bet: St.Kilda Saints -8.5

Yeahwhat im from Melboure..the home of footy! Bad luck on the Maggies bet, got Geelong on the wrong day. They wouldve beaten nearly anyone by 10goals the way they played!

Looking ahead to Monday and the Brownlow Medal -

Ive got Gary Ablett from Geelong winning. He couldve won the previous 2years but i think its 3rd times a charm for the little champ. He should fly out of the blocks, and even though he missed a few games, i think he will poll quite a few best on grounds.

Coming in 2nd ive got Nick Dal Santo from St.Kilda. Although i actually think the Saints captain, Nick Riewoldt, has been the best player all year, it is traditionally a midfielders award. Nicky Dal is a proven vote getter and stands out with his silky skills.

Bet : Gary Ablett to win the Brownlow Medal

There is plenty of value to be had on Brownlow night. Most votes per team is a great option as there is usually some good money to be made there.

If anyone wants my opinion on players, most team votes etc feel free to ask. Otherwise good luck and go Ablett!!
