for Monday, there are three potential keep-up games: VCU/Hofstra, NE/Towson, UVA/LSU. however, both NE/Towson and UVA/LSU have multiple red flags. going to take a closer look at VCU/Hofstra for potential over.

with VCU/Hofstra yesterday, keep-up game overs now 6-1. there were none that met all of the requirements tonight. Louisville/St. John's, Bama/GT and Oral Roberts/Oakland all were in the neighborhood but had multiple red flags.

Duke/Temple over 150'
JMU/W&M over 131'
WVU/Rutgers over 132' (if spread rises to 4 or more)
Wichita St/Evansville over 142' (if spread drops to 10 or less)

W&M has a very low PomOff, so at the moment, Duke/Temple is the only game that meets all the criteria for a keep-up game over.

spreads in WVU/Rutgers and Wichita State/Evansville aren't looking as if they're going to make it inside the proper range (4-10 points), so Duke/Temple will probably be the only keep-up game tonight. i will be sure to check back in before tips because if either one makes it into the 4-10 point spread range, they would qualify because neither game has any red flags.

i like Northwestern so far as sides go, though i'd maybe consider them ML rather than ATS. i think the Mildcats with by about 4-5.

Davidson/UNCG has multiple red flags anyway, so drop that one (UNCG's 2PT% and A/TO ratio both bad), and Purdue/Penn State (PSU pace), MTSU/Troy (Troy 2PT%) and SDSU/S Utah (S Utah 3PT%) each have a red flag.

so we're left with Pitt/DePaul, which is a pretty intriguing match-up. that is, DePaul pace (72.6) is way higher than Pitt's pace (62.4). it's a red flag where the dog's pace is well below the fave's pace (e.g., Michigan State/Nebraska on Saturday), but frankly, i haven't dealt with the case of a dog's pace being this much higher (and it's not that common to be this far apart: DePaul is 13th nationally in pace while Pitt is 16th from the bottom). have to look closer to see if i'm going to play it, but at this point, it's fair to say that Pitt/DePaul passes all the requirements for a keep-up game, though tonight could lead to the consideration of a new requirement. not sure that i've ever played an over in the 140s with a team that has a pace of 62.4.

playing the keep-up game 2* instead of 3* based upon the above comments re: disparate pace between Pitt and DePaul. it's worth noting that the opener of 144' was a full 6.5 points lower than ken pom's projected total of 151. some may view that as significant value; others may view is as a strong signal not to play the over. i'm viewing it with some skepticism and 2 units on the table and looking forward to watching it on the deuce at 7 pm. myself, i projected that final total at around 153-155.

no, LTA doesn't cap CBB, just NBA. i, on the other hand, am completely without a clue when it comes to the NBA.

i feel compelled to point out to you that you should not tail any NFL pick of mine. i'm in the midst of a horrendous three-week streak in the NFL and should not be trusted there (hence, pacocn posting his NFL thoughts for my benefit).

No problem Biff. I remember we talked about this since I told you what a bad football slump I'm in. I can do no right. My favorite was losing the OK St. TT over by a half point and OK St. -4 in the Fiesta bowl on the overturned TD call in OT.
