Michigan-Memphis Under 133 [-110]
It's Beauty vs. The Beast here. Memphis' up-tempo game against Michigan's grind it out half court style. I don't think Beilein lets his team get involved in a shootout here, he just doesn't have the horses to keep up. He knows his style and personnel. If you look at the Wolverines last year against teams that like to run, they were able to enforce their tempo more often than not. They did it against solid teams like Syracuse, Kansas and one of the ultimate run 'n gun teams in Oakland. I think that is their task today. Memphis would love a track meet where their athletes out quick Michigan and score easy buckets. Maybe it's too early for this incarnation of Michigan to have it down enough to slow Memphis, but I think they try and if they can keep from sillying the game with too many fouls, I think this can sneak under the number.

I know you are doing well, but it seems like there's a lot more guesswork involved with the former.

Nah. I actually do better on totals over the course of the season. I don't play a ton of unders, that's just part of what I like to do - but I will take them when I think the situation warrants. The 2nd half totals for me are one of the best things I like to try because you there is less guess work since you get to see game flow, how fouls are panning out, etc. Like I said before, it's still luck involved at the end of the day - but there are days when I think it's easier to do those than anything else.

Yeah, but there are so many games where these idiot refs call absolutely nothing early then get whistle happy if a player breathes wrong in the 2H (Purdue/Temple comes to mind). There's just no consistency with these fools.

Gators get Wright State here. Wright State was clobbered by Ohio State in their opener by 31. Wright State struggles shooting the ball at just 36% from the floor. Florida held their two non-Ohio State opponents to 34% shooting and won by well over this line. Talent gap again here.
