Staying steady with the one unit wagers here. Just one week of following this formula and we've got more winners than losers, so be patient and we'll see how it continues in the next weeks.

The Pomeroy/Sagarin Project starts 0-1 after Miss St falls flat

1 play for tomorrow is UC Irvine (-2.5) over Marist. Did a little crack research and I like this play.

For the record, these plays were 19-14 from when I started tracking last Saturday through last night's finals. Of course there were also those left off the list as I slimmed it down to five picks that both cashed or got trashed, so I think the 57.5% winning rate was probably fairly accurate for the week as reflected by the 19-14 record.

I'm going to start listing all the plays each day that fall into this criteria we're tracking here and let everyone make their own picks off of those. This way everyone gets to see the options and make their own picks. I will list the actual line again, followed by the KENPOM prediction. I will bold the ones that I am playing, but again those will be my personal choices off the list. Good luck!

How Bill and Mary keep getting favored is beyond me...Just because they hung with a Down Syracuse team is the only way I can fathom the book making them good sized favs on every game.They lost tons of players from last years team that played UNC tough in the NIT.

Mercer is one of the best plays on the board today.

I use a similar system to yours with pomeroy, Cbs sportsline selections, sports network and predictiontracker.com. Been about 57% avg last three years. Problem is money management

Sports Network is horrible. I admit I look at their predictions, but if you read their analysis they really don't back up those predictions with logic. I've seen several picks here early where they state a team is "not playing well" or such and such team is "in great form" and that was based on two games. Just flat out ridiculous. Tough loss on BYU. St.Mary's makes a three at the buzzer to go from -4 BYU to -1 and a loss.

True, Sports network is bad but sometimes they have a line or an angle I have not considered. They use the same cliche over and over.

Nice work on the "Pomeroy" method.....

I've used his model for the past couple of years and made a bunch during basketball season. I"m not certain how you're compiling your info, but if you read into his past blogs you'll ascertain his formulas.

Plugging his information into a spreadsheet and utilizing macro functions may save you a lot of work. I hit a single button now and update his entire database which highlights his plays each a.m.

Either way, you could do a lot worse than using his information. I think he's the best around.

PS: I'm toying with using his formulas in the NBA this year. Some tweaking is necessary, but it appears promising.

Looks like today is a 1-3 day. Most of today's looked pretty iffy, although I did like the first two. Surprised Colorado got taken apart by Harvard that easily. LSU covered with few problems. San Jose will be lucky to in period and UNC certainly is playing about as crappy as they have for the past two weeks, so a cover looks unlikely for them as well.

A friendly heads up for tomorrow. Pomeroy will have Virginia +11 against Minnesota, and the line currently sits at +15, well within what you guys are playing. This line will drop as reports have 2 players for Minnesota out so I can't see too many people laying the 15. You might want to take this one early if you can.

Both the USC and UAB lines moved a little further in favor of the Pomeroy play. Virginia is down to +13 at most books, so only a two point differential. Al Nolen and Rodney Williams are out for Minnesota as our friend above pointed out. That's one I will be skipping out of the three tonight because with injuries, it's tough to predict how a team may or may not do. Good luck tonight!
