You really need to weed out those big spread teams. -22 (Old Dom) and -25.5 (Murray St) are just way too big to gamble on. Teams have no incentive to win by that much or more. To a team that doesn't care about the spread, there is no difference between winning by 15 and winning by 25. Once they get up by 15, they just cruise and save their energy.

I'm not ripping on your system here, I'm just saying you need to add this filter. That would have given you a 3-2 day yesterday instead of 3-4.

This is really true. I've learned to do the same thing with my system. For the past 4 weeks that I've been tracking my own system, i found out that with games where the spread was over 15 points, it was only doing 50% in those games and the rest were doing 60% so i filtered out games with 15 or over spread. I also noticed with a bit of tweaking, some of those games if I just fade them I would also win about 60% with the majority of the picks being underdog. Just a little tip i just learn, a good system always needs improving.

I agree, if you really want a solid system, you gotta follow every angle. You don't have to throw anything out right away if it's not doing well (since its a relatively young system), but its good to know how each category is doing.
