Negative on the adjustments. Close games don't necessarily mean more possessions or blowouts equaling less. Knucklehead fouling happens just as much in both situations.

With very very close games that don't lead to overtime you are correct, not much difference in "knucklehead fouling"
With somewhat close games with a margin of 4-10pts in final 90 secs, lots of extra possession
imo adding the same amount of possessions (5) to a 45-15 Ohio st vs Savannah st half time score as you would a Oregon vs USC 35-31 score is questionable. Oregon was a 2 pt fav at the half, dropping the number right into the middle of the "end game fouling zone".Comment -
The four point game could just as soon be a 14 or 18 point game by the final 1:00. It's still guesswork at the end of the day. As I said when I began this, there is still no "Exact" science to the formula I use at the end of the day. Some of it is still feel and estimation, etc. For the most part, I try to play games that are not blowouts because they can vary a bit more in how that are handled ... but in situations where you have a team that underperformed and usually scores, etc. or a team that usually runs a high tempo and scores a lot - when the numbers add up right - I feel comfortable taking it. Case in point, several Indiana games before conference play began - they led by massive amounts at the half, but kept scoring throughout the 2nd half making it worthy to take as long as the possessions lined up in a comfortable range with the number posted.Comment -

Yeah did some quick math. 42 2nd half possessions, 51 points off those. Pace was playing fine with the #s, but obviously shooting is not. Slumpin' on to the next one. This half won't hit anywhere near 80 without a ton of fouling in the last minute, but it's likely into the 70s. Disagree on the 1st five minutes. I have seen plenty of halves with very little scoring that pound past the number with fouling and late shooting, vice versa.
Well hell maybe it will go over 80 with this shooting.
