The Thunder have looked unimpressive through 10 games. I understand it's a new coaching staff but the transition period is over. It's time to win. I thought this was supposed to be the deepest and most talented team they have ever had. Even with no Durant, they should be playing better.

They're making the same mistakes they made under Brooks. Poor defense and too many turnovers. Sometimes they can hide these deficiencies with great individual play from Durant and Westbrook but when one of those guys is out it becomes more apparent.

I think the team is poorly constructed around Westbrook and Durant. Honestly this summer some people were shaking their heads at matching Portland's offer on Kanter, my initial reaction was "why not sign him and just go for it since they can go over the cap" but I'm starting to see why.

OKC played some of their best ball in 2012-2014 with Ibaka at the 5. Now that they have Adams and Kanter, we're not seeing any smallball from them anymore. I think Kanter is detrimental to a team if he isn't their number 1 or 2 option on offense. And that will never happen in OKC. He just gives up too many points on the other end to be a #3 or 4 option offensively. Unless you want to just play him and run the offense through him when Westbrook and Durant are on the bench. But you can't pay a guy the max and play him for 10 minutes.

Also enough of fukking Roberson in the starting lineup. He sucks. And given the Thunder's defensive numbers this year, I'd say having him in there for defense doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

New scoring punch off the bench needed too. Dion Waiters doesn't cut it.

I'd start Westbrook Morrow Durant Ibaka Adams

Bench:
Augustin
New scorer
New defensive wing who can make a decent percentage in 3's
New 4 man (enough of Nick Collison)

9 man rotation with Adams playing about 28-30 minutes so 18-20 minutes of smallball.

Then you fill up the roster with Payne Roberson Singler Novak McGary and whoever. Decent enough rotation players for when injuries kick in.

Dude you just nailed it and read my mind exactly. I've been thinking the same thing.

Morrow hasn't been getting much playing time and he is their best shooter. They play Robinson for defense but their defense is still struggling.

I pointed out like in the second game of the year that Waiters has problems making layups. Last year he would always flail at the rim, brick a layup, and yell and one. I've never seen a guy miss so many layups.....

This year ESPN finally caught on and threw up a stat yesterday. Waiters has made 13 layups and missed 14 this year. LMAO.

Kanter is a good scoring option but plays no defense. Kyle Singler is shooting under 20% from three point land and that's about the only reason they signed him.

I applaud presti for finally "going for it" but it seems like more of desperation than anything. Like you said, I think the real window was from 2012 to 2014. He should have went for it then. The Thunder have a lot of pieces but they don't fit.

At this rate, this team will probably end up winning about 50-55 games and probably lose in the second round. There is a lot of season left by Donovan hasn't fixed any of the problems that this team has had the last few years. They play exactly the same.

Golden State is a lock to get homecourt, if they stay healthy I don't see anyone beating them.

Yeah their late game execution is a comedy. Most bad teams are like that but this team is something as you say.

Last second meaningless bucket to avoid go 0-fer today. Woulda been particularly mad as I initially bet +7.5 but line moved to 6.5 as the thing was processing. Still a -950 today but better than -1600 I guess

-190 if they hang on for the win.
