I haven't followed any of his plays as of yet. Sometimes I agree with some but I play my own. I check this thread every now and then because I like the matchup analysis for teams I don't have the patience to watch every night they play- 76ers without Bynum, Pacers, Magic, Suns etc (no idea if there were matchups on all of
these since I don't check regularly). As a neutral, I am curious as to where, this season, there is a pick against Miami anyone can make with confidence outside of @Clippers (played already), @Grizzlies (played already), and @Spurs?
As for the Lakers, as a Laker fan, I'm sure they are under .500 ATS over the last 10 years overall sans those ghastly seasons where Smush was running the point and Kobe covered as underdogs by himself. I think it would be harder to play and pick them ATS than against..Comment -

I think Miami will play a playoff brand of basketball tonight. After getting dominated by the Knicks in the Garden and coming off a loss to the worst team in the NBA, I expect Miami to lock down defensively tonight after what has been an absolute horrendous defensive start to the season for them. Mello will be a volume shooter tonight and the Knicks are basically a perimeter oriented team without a true interior presence, though Chandler has been solid this year. Most of the Knicks effort tonight will be exhausted on the defensive end tonight, trying to guard Lebron, Wade, and Bosh. Chandler hasn't guarded too many guys like Bosh to this point and J Kidd is gonna have to chase around D Wade on a B2B. Same with Smith and Brewer.
When you put that much effort onto the defensive end on a B2B, chasing RayRay off screens, the explosiveness of this team in the open court, the jump shots are not always gonna fall. Knicks are a 3 pt shooting team without a healthy Stoudemire.

Gortat should get plenty of minutes tonight as long as he stays out of foul trouble. Chris Kaman, while good offensively, has some of the worst footwork on the defensive end you'll ever see for a big man. I expect him to get exposed in the big and roll tonight with Dragic and Gortat.
