A dominant performance by the Vixens means we cover the spread but they win by too much for the 2nd bet.

It's games like this, in hindsight, I'd wished I made a 4 unit bet.

The Vixens are are the best 1st quarter team in the competition this year having 5 out of 6 so far. This is a massive game for both teams as it is a battle for 2nd spot. The Vixens will know that the Swifts have a game in hand as they have already had their bye. Once again the Vixens will be focussing on a fast start. I've got the Vixens up by 2 at quarter time.

I've got this match being a very tight affair with a draw being the final result at normal time. I've gone for the safer option so if we get a draw at half or full time we get a win.

After a 5-7 for 0 units season I've decided to focus only on totals for the remainder of the season.

I try to focus on one option when I'm not having a great run.

If I spot an absolute wrong line I'll make it a play but otherwise just totals.

I can post my predictions from my netball models but I would NOT recommend betting them blindly.

The Thunderbirds are coming of the bye in a must win game while the Vixens head home after a 3 game road trip. Thunderbirds see the return of Beaton who should play a least half a game at WA and I expect they will give up on the Poolman experiment at GK and hand it back to Shimmin, which will see an improved defensive duo. As always, Mentor's vertical leap sees her play well on the taller GS's so Borrego is in for a tough day. The Vixens have the No.1 defence in the competition and the bye will mean that Adelaide should have plans it place to slow the Vixens attack. Add in the stats below and I've got the game total at 95 goals.

This year, when at home, the Vixens over/under record: 0-3

In the regular season, since 2012, with a total line greater than 100, the Vixens over/under record is:

All games: 5-14
At home: 0-10

Interestingly, the Queensland TAB doesn't allow multis on netball. I guess that says a lot about their lack of confidence in it.

Out of interest, how many goals did your system have that game at Rabbit?

My total score model had it at 95 goals. Vixens 57 - Thunderbirds 38.

I thought the line of (-7.5) was a little off but I'm only concentrating on totals due to my poor season so far.

The Firebirds attack has been sub par of late with Aiken playing and shooting terribly. Expect Layton to have her measure once again. Wild will have to put up more shots from a longer range which will mean more misses. The Swifts also play a smothering all court defence which will mean the Firebirds will have to slow down their play and pick their way through. The Firebirds played in Perth last week and their maximum total after playing in Perth since 2012 had been 100, with the last three against the Swifts. Small play only though. Game total at 100.
