Great value on Australia as they have had a poor run lately, however they have played some very strong teams. Also things were happening behind the scenes to disrupt the team as the coach (Osieck) was hated by the players, fans and most of Australia. Now today is new coach Postecoglu's first game in charge and it should be a rejuvenated Australia on show. Plus Costa Rica is very strong at home, yet very poor on the road.

This one cashed nicely, Middle Tennese State won by 17, they dropped the ball abit (pun intended) in the second half but finished strong!!

Remember guys i work a full time job, which is laid back and i have access to about 1-2hrs a day of free time depending on how busy we are, i've got two young boys at home who i spend alot of time with after work until they go to sleep, thats when i will be getting into the zone and picking winners!!

I will enjoy watching the Socceroos under Postecoglu who i have much admiration for himself and his style of play. I dont have the heart to back them though, i think Postecoglu will eventually have the socceroos playing more attractive up tempo football but it will take them time to adjust from the very defensive approach and style of Osieck (excuse the spelling). This is a great platform for them to try it out though which will be interesting to see how quick they will adapt.

I'm immersed in sports 24/7, around this time of the year I tend to think about the NBA all day every day, and when I'm not thinking about the NBA I'm thinking about MMA and boxing. When I sleep I usually have sports related dreams, when I'm cooking or doing the dishes I'll have my iPhone hooked up to a radio in the kitchen banging out NBA podcasts one after the other. When I go to bed I usually lay in bed reading NBA articles until I fall asleep, often as I fall asleep my Ipad falls out of my hands and hits me in the face. It never ends for me...

Well in order of how I rank them (not interested in all the jokes and off topic Hollywood crap, just want to talk basketball)




1. Hangtime podcast (Sekou Smith and co). Very sharp guys but only 1 per week.
2. Eye on Basketball (CBS Sports) Far too much Hollywood crap but when they get around to basketball it's excellent. - Daily
3. NBA Lockdown (Bruce Bowen) - Daily
4. Believe the Hype - Two Aussies who are rabid NBA fans and very knowledgable - Every couple days?
5. The Starters - Again far too much jokes and nonsense but the basketball stuff is good - Daily
6. Full Court Press - I love this one but they haven't done one since the pre-season ended

I might lock the ROckets for a big play if it gets to 10. They already f'ed us in the Lakers game but I feel this should be simmilar to Minny vs Boston. Boston can't guard the driving freaks of the Rockets and Harden, Lin, Parsons should be at the rim all game long. Rebounding should also be really nice for the Rockets. And Terrence Jones and Parsons will do a good job on Green I believe. Beverley guards Crawford. I don't see how the Celtics will avoid a blowout in a normal situation

NBA Tuesday

Well my big play was going to be on the Suns today, however there seems to be a lot of optimism surrounding the Kings for tonight's match-up so I have decided to play it more conservatively and stick with a small play.

*Suns are the best ATS team in the league at 7-1. Kings are the worst at 1-7
** Suns are everything the Kings are not at the moment. Taking a group with limited talent, but youth and an abundance of athleticism on their side and just playing hard and playing for each other. Group cohesion is excellent. Amazingly the Bled-show and Dragic are working well together and the Morris brothers and Green add a real spark to this unit. The Kings are in the same boat as far as youth and athleticism but couldn't be more different in terms of attitude and cohesion within the group.

Unreal - he collides with his own team mate in warm ups. Luckily we've only got 1 unit on the Suns. If he doesn't play, will probably consider a 2nd Half play on the Kings, assuming the Suns can keep it close in the 1st Half. Bledsloe is Mr. 4th Quarter - he is the reason why Suns are winning games.
