The Rockets were the 2nd best 2nd half team in the NBA last season statistically only behind the Heat and they are now better this year with Dwight Howard. This year the Rockets have been really good 2H as well winning by +6.8 points average. A big lead may be tough to close on with some teams but a 10 point lead against the Rockets is really more like a 4 point lead. It can evaporate in the blink of an eye. Also if it's close at the end, Lakers will be missing Kobe a lot and Harden is very dependable. I think, win or loss, there was good reason for Rockets 2H tonight.Scared money don't make money

I actually have this game total of 210 rated as a 7.5 in my system, which would translate to a 1.5 unit under play. So why the hell am I playing the 1st Q over? Well i can't resist the fact that these have been two of the hottest starting teams in the league so far this season, averaging #1 and #2 in 1st Q ppg (Dallas was also a top 5 1st Q ppg team last season), so the plan is to hope for a high scoring 1st half and then hammer the 2nd half under at HT. A 1st half that goes over the predicted 105, will most likely be a 2nd half under auto-play for me.

That Rockets half time m/l play was one of the strongest I have made all season, and if not for the fact that I already had 3 units riding on the spread would have been for more than the 1.5 units I played. I also was very keen on the Over 12.5 rebounds for Howard (which cashed). The reason I went with the points prop over the rebounds was because of the possibility of hack-a-Dwight (assuming the game/lead was still in single digits late in the 4th).
