Well, the only other play I got in on today was Goffin. Oh well, we'll make it back! Bertens can always come on strong this 2nd set. You guys still have a shot!Last edited by Byrone09; 01-03-13, 02:26 AM.Comment -

#2947Byrone, I like the following...
Sela to beat Paire.
Sela defeated Paire in the same tourny last yr. Heading into this game he is in slightly better form. Books have him as a dog, so maybe take the handicap if cautious.
L Lacko v R Gasquet
I put a wager on Lacko last night, and he won in straight sets comfortably (although Gasquet is a totally different player to Troicki). Gasquet needed to go to 3 sets to win against Zemlja, who is ranked similar to Lacko, but I think Lacko is a better player than Zemlja.
Books have Gasquet as a clear favourite. I think Lacko is good for a set, if not an outside chance for the game.
I'm also lookin at R Bautista-Agut v M Bachinger....tough one to call, but leaning towards Bachinger...dunno yet.
Don't know what Sando thinks, would love to hear his thoughts on these.Comment -

#2956Kick some ass Sando! Remember mate... you could win every bet you make for a week... doesn't make you a star. You could lose every one you make for a week and it doesn't make you a dego loser. Variance is a roller coaster but it eventually evens out. You're a brave guy to post your plays every day and I wish nothing but the best for you. Do your own thing and forget the noise. Best time of the tennis season now for fans so just enjoy it!Comment -

#2957Tennis
ATP Brisbane
Hewitt v Istomin
Over 22.5 (-106, $1.94 Pinnacle) 1x - Winner
Nishikori v Dolgopolov
Nishikori m/l (-130, $1.77 IAS/Sportsbet) 2.5x
*Nishikori to have a break out season this year. This guy is a stock on the rise. One to watch in 2013. No matter that it's early season, Nishi is very professional, plays every match to win (like Ferrer).
WTA Aukland
Hampton v Bertens
Bertens +3 (-105, $1.95 Pinnacle) 1x - Loser
* Kiki playing well, with two solid wins already over Kuznetsova and Watson, both as a dog. Also she has won 6 of her last 7 againsat big servers. (Starts in 30 mins).
ATP Chennai
Sela v Paire
Sela +2.5 (-109, $1.91 Pinnacle) 1x
Hopman CupTomic v Seppi
Tomic -1.5 (-110, $1.90 Sportingbet) 1x
*Hate this little brat, however he has beaten Haas and Djokovic already this tournament, whilst Seppi has lost in straight sets to the same two guys. Tomic has copped it in the media and from the general public here in Australia, basically for being a dick, a tanker, and not acting very Australian. He got blasted by our own Tennis legend in Pat Rafter in the media last year, and while this may only be an exhibition tournament, he is representing "his" country here and I think he may be playing with a chip on his shoulder, and I like that a lot. No denying the kid has talent (when he isn't dragging his feet across the court). Definitely worth a unit.Comment -

#2963Mate been on fire in the tennis to start the year, you haven't followed any?
Quote from THE authority in Tennis - Nick Bollettieri
"If Kei's serve continues to improve, and if he continues to play an attacking game, he could end up becoming a top-10 player," the legendary coach Bollettieri said last year. "He is the highest-ranked Japanese in their history. He's a great player, he has great movement, and he's a shot-maker."
He also compares him to Ferrer (the ultimate compliment) in the same article.Last edited by SBRAdmin3; 06-10-14, 12:08 PM.Comment -

Kei Nishikori

Grigor Dimitrov
David Goffin
Benoit Paire
WTA
Laura Robson
Heather Watson
Sloane Stevens
Madison Keys
...As some may have noticed I have already had plays on many of these players in my thread. I have been betting on tennis for 10+ years and one of my favorite angles has always been to follow the rising talent and look for good spots to back them in, before the books catch up. (Milos Raonic - classic example. You will almost never find any value on this guy anymore).Comment -

#2967I wonder how the nishkori match will end up - cos even though dolgo has very bad attitude, if he is on a roll, he can beat any top player...if he is not, he can lose to any 50+ player...soo yeah, tough betting for/against him
(fun fact - i used to train on the same courts as him) )
