Last time I checked usfunca you are correct about the profit logic.. Dont get me wrong, I only wish good things for Sando and for all his supporters. There is no need for trolling on here. I'm was just interested in Sandos methodology. I don't wish to speak negatively about the Aussie fella, but there is nothing wrong with pointing out the pitfalls that I think exist with someone's methodology.. Anyways, that said my expertise is in MLB and not NBA, and I'll be happy to share my MLB picks when the season rolls around. This is my first time to participate on a sports handicap forum. I can understand some people becoming frustrated with this rough patch if they are using a large proportion of their bankroll every day. 1 unit for me is 1% of my bankroll, I made 14 units betting on soccer yesterday, as long as Sando finishes this season in positive units and I tail everything I will be happy.Comment -
Dude, do you realise how dumb you sound? You want him to pick 1 when he likes 5 games? How does he know which "one" he should select from the 5 there he's fond on? Should he go ini-mini-mihni-mo? You want him to pick the one he is most "confident" with and go with that one? If we put use to that methodology, he would be 0-1 for today with Bobcats +9 losing.
I think some guy said it earlier. Despite the fact Sando understands basketball dynamics, matchups, has watched a lot of NBA over the years and thus possesses a sophisticated level of knowing, he jus can't legislate for teams that are jus not interested, bad ref decisions, poor free throw shooting @ crucial times, tight spreads that lose due to dumbness etc etc. My point is there are somany turn of events to cater for in the final quarter of NBA matches which ultimately boil down to one thing, luck. NBA requires an element of luck, it's as simple as that, but the theory with luck is that it evens itself out over a period of time. So it really doesn't matter if you're one of the best "readers" of the sport, any basketball expert would do well to finish 5-0 on even one day of making picks. 4-1 would be an exceptional day for them.
You need to be "lucky" to not be "unlucky" in basketball IMO. Over a distance, the talent/skill of a person with a good read on basketball should have a positive win:loss ratio (above 65%) and have made a reasonable profit.... Sando has done that.
Essentially, if you are truly going to have realistic hope of making worthwhile profit tailing someone on basketball, you need to be in it for the "long run" .. this is one of those sports.
