They are being bashed on every site right now I'd guess.

I don't know what SBR knew when, but reality is if the backer got arrested it's hardly something SBR could have predicted, and once that had happened it was in all players interests for SBR to keep quiet as long as they could see Jon trying to resuscitate it.

Easy to say with no money there, but on the surface I'm not sure SBR has done too much wrong here. Unless promoting a book too hard that 'appeared solid' and everyone seemed to like is a crime.

I feel terrible for the people who lost money. Seen more than a couple talking about it being life changing amounts for them too.

Wouldn't argue with any of them to defend SBR. It's time for venting.

to be honest, i didnt know that people in the U.S. left 10s of thousands just siitting in offshore accounts..was stunned actually..guess i thought every1 made withdrawls frequently to avoid just that..i know i sure do when my account is gets decent amounts....saw several too about life changing money and its just sickening

I think quite a few have higher balances than they planned due to the payout stalling that has been going on. But agree, seems like quite a few reports of 10k+ sitting in there.

About 5k is my personal max comfort level I think. And even losing that much would piss me off big time.

Read reports of 1.5mil lost between 330 people... if that's true the average loss is almost 5k!

Was very tempted at one time to deposit at Bet Islands. Glad I never did!

This whole Bet Islands fiasco has to be a black eye on SBR's reputation as a watchdog to the offshore sportsbook industry.

But saying that I wouldn't leave 5k plus in a book when I got my 5d account to 4.2k last month I withdrew 3k of it

i never leave 5-figs just sitting in any book...even during nascar, ill withdrawl constantley if i hit over that to get my balance down

during nascar offseason i dont leave 1k there usually, and if i happen to win on football by a miracle, i withdrawl it asap

as an US player, i dont and never will understand people just leaving balances sit there like that....too tempting to lose + not safe either imo....

id rather take payouts every week and pay the money for that, that risk leaving it sit there

#1 reason most people had to play at BI was for bonuses imo...no other reason...thankfully i never take those at any book so i never played at BI...but sucks for those who did...feel just awful for them
