Tale of two halves again killing the OVER.. low scoring / high scoring.
Rain before kickoff which was a 5% chance earlier probably didn't help things either.
Grind away again tomorrow - bank roll management is key in the volatile early rounds.

The rain killed the total and led to some disgusting handling between 20 min mark and half time.

Shaun Johnson's kick to tie was atrocious.

Love the discipline to stay away from the Cowboys/Melbourne match.

Yeah I agree.. some horrible football in there which was painful to watch

Titans vs Raiders UNDER 42.5 1x 1.95
Raiders defense last week was shocking. Expect an improvement in that area this afternoon. Titans were superb last week in that area and should continue the strong defense this week. Expecting a lop sided game in what could be wet conditions.. don't see many points coming from the Green Machine, only danger will be a Titans double figure win. Have this game at 36 on the model and rolling 1x UNDER.

Rabbitohs vs Sharks UNDER 40.5 1x 1.95
Two of the best defensive teams line up against one another.. it's not lucky that it stands that way this early in the season. We saw the Sharks desperately hang on against the Titans and put up some amazing defense. Rabbitohs were all over the shocking Roosters and shouldn't get so many points that easily this week. Total should probably be lower around 36-38 so we're getting a bit of value with 40.5 at most books. Model has the game at 32pts with the Sharks not contributing much to the total. Rolling 1x UNDER 40.5 GL

unfortunately if ur from the "land of the free", not likely u can have any of the ones mentioned as being the most most useful for this sport...

u may be able to find the games at one of ur US-facing books...but the line will be crappy...

if ur non-US...then u'll have the option of opening up an account at a place good for NRL, most often mentioned are these three

*sportSbet (NOT sportbet, the US-friendly cousin of 5dimes)
*centrebet

*SBObet is also a good "have", I find

Occasionally use Pinny & 5D for NRL plays -sometimes they are slower to move totals than say Centrebet or Bet365.
Recommend getting onboard as many books as you can & shop around for the best deal.

i find that Pinny very often does NOT have NRL totals at all...but it's one of my main books for every other sport

didn't know that "Dimey" was worth checking...thanks for that

My big surprise in setting up shop for NRL was that one of the best-known Aussie books Canbet is ZERO in this department...is that just a current aberation or has Canbet decided to not bother with this market?

Get as many books for the NRL. Centrebet & Sportsbet are off by a point at least 2 games every round.

Also you gotta love TAB for being hopeless at setting totals.

Tonight's game was a sleeper and the Sharks got some dud calls and could of easily taken this game.

Sharks the under specialist. They're tough team.

I agree pretty bad refereeing performance. To be fair though I thought the Sharks got away with a fair bit of slowing the play of the ball in second half

Great to end the week on a high

. Sharks keeping the UNDER bet nice and solid despite a fast start to the match.
Hopefully it's the beginning of matches smoothing out a little and more consistent (ie - more than 1 half of football) performances.

Storm vs Bulldogs UNDER 36.5 1x 1.95
Average figures for the Storm are blown out a little after a big win last week. Bulldogs missing some high impact attacking players but replaced by good defensive players and everything points to a tight controlled game. Look for lots of kicks to take the ball out of play and a slow grind approach from the Dogs. The Cowboys attempting to match the Storm in an arm wrestle didn't work and the Dogs are well aware of this. Add rain and strong winds to the mix tonight and we should see the total fall to 34.5 or even 32.5 at some books.. may pay to get on this early.
Model has it at 30pts which makes it a 1x play.. rolling 1x UNDER at 1.95. GL

Like this one myself, it is quite windy and cloudy in Melbourne right now, and is forecast to last for the rest of the day. Throw in a recent history of low scoring games, and it seems the smart bet. Let's cash this

Also like the play, just can't see how the Bulldogs are going to score a decent number of points. Anything can happen but we've done well to get the hook, surely the total will only drop.
