What a schlop-fest. Turned this game off. Clearly Sharks happy to take it easy and ride this one out. 0/4 conversions and 2 penalty goals instead of going for 6 points. Over 23 handling errors and 2 tries that look solid disallowed by video ref. Not happy.

A truly spectacular display of pathetic football tonight. First game I've ever watched where absolutely no team deserved to win - so it's a fitting result. The points were on offer but the Sharks never took the bait and the shots at penalty came back to haunt them. Add to that two disallowed tries that looked the goods and we were headed for at least 38-40 points.
Just a complete break of form for the Sharks tonight. Very disappointed with this loss and the Storm play for Round 18. Two plays that would have put us up almost 4 units. This will be only the 3rd negative round I've had out of 18 and it's not something I want to continue. Working hard to refine plays but sometimes there are things you can't predict. GL this week.

Broncos -6 vs Warriors 1x 1.95
It's been 2 weeks since we saw the Broncos and it wasn't flash last time around. They had a stack of players missing for Origin but this time around we should see the best they have to offer. For the last 2 weeks they've been running thru defensive drills EVERY DAY and their aim for the season is to finish in the top 3 sides for defense. This will be brutally important against the Warriors who pound away at the forwards searching for gaps all game. Broncos should have the advantage in this game, especially with Hurrell missing for the Warriors. Model has the Broncos winning by 8pts but getting 6points is the key.. this would be a no play on 6.5

Broncos have been all about defense this week in training and Coach Griffin believes it needs to improve dramatically. Expect to see a much solid defensive line tonight. UNDER opened at 46 during the week but has been scaled back to 42.5, which on a wet field tonight should be enough. Even though both teams play well in the wet this shouldn't be a try-fest. Model is predicting a scoreline around 36pts so we'd need 2x more tries for this to go OVER. Locking it in at 1x 1.95 GL

Bulldogs vs Eels OVER 44.5 1x 1.95
Trying to find a motivational reason as to why the Eels won't collapse this week and keep coming up short. This game should be full of holes tonight and the Bulldogs should run riot. Eels won't make the finals and nothing really changes this week for them. Des Hasler expects the best from the Dogs each week and the only danger is they get too comfortable tonight. However, based on what we saw last week for the Eels.. even if the Dogs fall asleep they'll still win this game comfortably. We saw a total in excess of 60pts last time these teams played and things have gotten worse for the Eels with more players missing.. for the Bulldogs things have improved since then. This should be a monumental tryfest by the Dogs and it needs to be for the OVER to cash - don't think we'll see many points from the Eels.

Warriors -10.5 vs Broncos 2x 1.95
Don't usually play the Toyota Cup as it can be too erratic but we have two teams / players I'm familiar with playing tonight. Warriors are a big side with a heavy mobile forward pack and they're taking on a much smaller side that has been struggling. With heavy rain forecast during this match expect lots of errors and the Warriors to dominate up the middle. If the Broncos had a chance in this match it'd be during dry weather where they can attack the fringes and out run the Warriors - it shouldn't happen this week. 10.5 points isn't much in Toyota Cup where the average score is much higher than NRL.

With Hayne missing and their hooker MIA for the Eels tonight it may as well be a walkover... I think it hits on the strength of the Dogs.
Broncos total is falling as we speak. Heavy rain in Brisbane and set to continue tonight. Warriors handling skills not so flash in the wet but Brisbane wet weather stats are okay.

Panthers have a much bigger side tonight and will have a decent crack at this one. Tigers have conceded over 110 points in their last 3 games and it doesn't look like getting better anytime soon. Past averages for the Panthers are deceiving and they should have more points to offer tonight. Have this game at 48.5 points and rolling with it for 2x 1.95 GL

Storm vs Cowboys UNDER 40.5 1x 1.85
Storm will need to control defense to win this game and have been focused on that during the week at training. Cowboys have a shocking record at Melbourne and the home side will be desperate to win. Expecting a tight grind out encounter and much stronger defense with the Origin players fully rested. Looking at a total of 36pts on the model for this game. GL

Knights vs Sea Eagles UNDER 42.5 1x 1.95
Sea Eagles missing Matai tonight will remove some of the attacking sting of the visitors. There is no doubt the Knights look likely to lose this match but we shouldn't see a huge blow out. Sea Eagles have been exceeding their PPG average game after game.. this won't be a walkover like the Eels game was. Expect to see the Sea Eagles battle for the points more away from home against the Knights.

Dragons vs Sharks UNDER 38.5 3x 1.85
Was hoping for this to be the biggest play of the season but Sharks team suffering flu and Gallen / Smith missing pegs this play back a little. Still a big game from two sides that have been struggling to find the try line. Expect a much better game from the Sharks but not so for the Dragons, who still haven't given any indication they've broken a poor trending attacking record. Have this play set at 28pts and rolling with 3x. Expect both these sides to play tight football - Sharks need to win to stay in the top 4 and the Dragons to stay in touch with the top 8. GL

Raiders vs Titans UNDER 46.5 3x 1.95
Titans have one of the best defensive records this year and this total does not show them the respect they deserve. Expect this to be a majority scrappy game but the controlled actions of Prince should steady the Titans defense. Raiders have been punching above their weight and should come back down to earth a little this week. No matter what figures I fiddle around with on this model.. can only get 38.5 pts. Makes this a 3x play from mine.. GL

Great result with Dragons / Sharks staying well UNDER all game.. upset this wasn't a 5x play as model suggested.
Titans / Raiders on track to stay UNDER and looked good with 10mins to run until Titans decided they'd won and switched off.
Looking at a play on Monday night football to make this a big +plus round.
