now that i think about it there was another 2yo first time starter that won at monmouth a month or two ago .. it was a very professional performance also and not just winning on the lead all the way..I forget the name but I think str would remember that race

30-1 ml going in kind of says it all..felt 3rd or 4th would be a good result as that was a really tough field of expensive well bred horses ..kind of why we're following to see if he's capable of producing horses like this ..to do that at the tough distance of a mile vs that quality of completion as a 2yo first time starter is really impressive
