good back figure on dirt..last race @ 7f the 4f fraction was 45³ and the pace fig says that was 5 lengths slow ..had to be a disadvantage being even a few lengths off that

last race 21 days ...2 back 20 days ..3 back 21 days..68 days prior to that..think this level a good fit and camouflaged enough they'll be some value

fts by mendelssohn..inexpensive auction purchase ..trainer hits some big prices with turf and fts..nothing great here ..if this type of horse wins or runs well it's a real positive sign for the sire

R6 #7 wine goddess (8-1)

trainer has excellent numbers in applicable categories..takes a big drop in class.. stretching out off her 1st 2 races looks like it may help and one of the things the trainer is excellent at

R9 #8 beach boy (9-2)

horse making his 5th start and can't understand why prat would get on this horse off his last race..1st 3 would make him tough here and probably has something to do with why jock is aboard

wes ward has 2 fts in here (#10 also)..other is very well bred but mine is exceptionally well bred, with a sprint oriented dam sire and a dam that's an incredible producer

won 2nd off the layoff on a drop 3 starts back and that's what's happening here..trainer one of the best in the country but not as well known as chad,brad and todd

R4 #3 fortune (12-1)

pedigree,trainer stats ,some experience and pace compromised in debut (last race) ..under the radar trainer and jockey

R5 #6 amalfi princess (3-1)

last year cut back from a mile at saratoga to 6.5 f here and won easy breaking from the 12 post..same move and jockey switch here ..like the short route cut back to sprint at this track anyway as it's a long stretch with higher grass

just heard blue bayou..naah 3rd layoff,even spacing ,and another slightly under the radar trainer when guys like asmussen and cox have runners in the race..his roi's much better than those 2

what intrigues me at a price is a lightly raced 3yo who consistently (except last but was bumped) runs good races ..claimed in his last 2 starts..first time turf today but like his lone effort in a synthetic sprint at turfway..followed that with speed to the 6f in a listed stakes route which is fine..trainer a real money burner in applicable categories but like the other things going on

R5 #8 santa giulia (6-1)

makes 4th career start and 2nd in this country..won in his 2nd start in france..think will benefit from even race around from a wide post behind a slow pace (at bel)..improves 2nd time like he did in europe

Lol. I'm treading lightly at KD. I usually struggle there, but so many big prices always come in.

and there were a lot of those but not mine lol.. as you said, you can get it back plus there with a couple of good prices... not that a solid looking 3 or 4-1 should be passed up but a couple of big hits, and a few mid-range prices can make it a good meet.. really tough to cap and can understand just passing on it altogether
