think he's showed some life in his first 3 even though ultimately finishing far back..2 lengths off the pace call last out and finished with a solid figure despite being far back.. winner ran a graded stakes quality figure and it was a msw race..had to break from the 11 post to boot.. so 3rd off a short layoff gets on turf first time and pedigree well above average for that.. dam has been very productive with turf winners and overall.. now the bad part and its not minor.. leonel reyes a slightly below average jock(I go by %'s) but poor on the turf.. that will only help the price and like this guy as a longieComment -

saffie gets some of the mclaughlin dispersal.. those 2 races he comes out of are very quick (always talking winners figure when I say this) and he put solid numbers to boot coming out of them.. again like the type of line's he ran besides.. this one more impressive than above.. cost a bunch relative to specs.. solid regular works since last race and prior to that worked regularly at pine meadows going back to late december.. negative (and not a small one) is landeros a crappy turf jock.. too many positives here overall though

take a shot for the upset with a homebred firster by munnings whose one of the better first out sires and strictly speed.. first foal to race out of a winning giant's causeway mare.. lots of class but that's tempered a bit with the fact that gc is a distance influence.. gullick having a nice meet and has huge roi with maiden specials and debut horses.. call me nuts but I like positive names with debuters as I think it's a sign they really like the horseComment -

Really Nice horse race
#1 Backshot (8/1) , Anybody that can duel with American Therom going 21/4 then 45/2, is crazy fast, going to be sent from the rail under Cohen, off the long layoff. There is some really quick horses in this event, the pace is going be blistering . The one that's really interesting to me, is the #10 Derby Date (9/2) , After leaving the Coach's barn , was sent to bench 14 months, and under this rather unknown outfit, has been improvinbg each and every start. First Glance, you think professional maiden, but remember the Coach , Ran this colt in 3 grade 1 races outta 6 tries. 0-9 ok, but dismiss those 3 G1, look only lost by 3 to Network Effect a Chad Brown big time runner. But most importantly, has Never never sprinted on a fast track. I see some rain could hit tomorrow, but why not if they get a fast track. I promise you , you'll get a better number than 9/2, Hasn't had many top notch riders aboard either (not that they are getting one tomorrow). Why Can't Declan sit the stalking trip, of this predicted pace , Seems to be going in the right direction on the 4 year old campaign, but man this is not an easy spot. Just to add , how often do see a half mile work going 45 and 4, This horse was tuned up for Keenland meet, They shipped from Hot Springs to Lexington, and now traveled back in the same month. They want this horse to run bad, and adding the eye cups, tells me they are focusing this one here. #8 Ragtime Blues (3/1) , will be overbet off the layoff, and I'll be against this Baffert. Many of these horses, are capable of graduating in softer spots.

cost a lot relative to the pedigree specs.. when I say this I'm looking at stud fee, dam's highest accomplishment as a racehorse and production as a broodmare.. if the auction price seems out of line with that information I figure horse probably a physical specimen, really fast work at the sales, along those lines.. realize first time with peter miller which doesn't add anything for me..obviously this one was targeted for santa anita with baffert.. do like that he's tremendous taking the blinkers offComment -
