R10 #4 wacky pal (5-1)

like his effort vs open company (today ny breds) at gulfstream in his debut.. 7th (12 horse field) by a little less than 5 lengths but put up a good figure.. also had to break from the rail in a 12 horse field.. first race off the layoff (3yo debut) comment "saw off 3/16 th" so I'll excuse that.. last race battled on the front end held very well to finish 3rd with a decent figure.. castellano for saez, nice middle post and je very good 3rd off the layoff



#12 worth a shot (4-1) (easy's) would be my other if he draws in .. very well bred and gritty effort on the front end last out.. like that it was at 7f vs 6f..linda rice has big numbers 2nd off a layoff and 1st attempt at a route.. post sucks but you can't have everything

think he's well meant and tough in here ..fact that race was late in the season can see stopping on him especially since he's a NY bred.. showed he has some talent vs msw and these connections put horses where they can win without regard to what they paid for the horse..fact they waited till saratoga imo is a good sign.. if a horse is a disaapointment might as well try to notch a win here

Here is my take on the last race. The 2 and 3 are obvious contenders, but I will take a stand against them for the win only because I don't like the turf breeding for the mile and with a short price. I am gonna take a shot with a long shot, the 9- Make Motime (ML 15-1). His first race after 6 months off was ok; showed some early footing, but he was wide. His last race was a trouble trip too. Leparoux decides to stick with him and I like his breeding as turf runner. He should get a much better trip from the outside. It doesn't look like a lot of speed signed up for this so I expect him to get a good stalking trip. At 15-1 ML, I am going take a shot with him. My top 4 picks for this race: 9,2,3,7 GL
