we are both on the wpg/mtl over. but my totals picks have gone a very mediocre 0-1-2.

out of curiousity do you use software to make your totals picks or just look at the stats yourself? i only ask because i used to use some software by pds sports which was actually fairly helpful. might look into it again

I have been handicapping totals in hoops, bases and football for over 35 years. In MLB I used to "chart" the umpires before computers. I had a nice advantage back then since not many spent the time to do it. I have been doing hockey totals for about 5 years. I do not use a program but am open to any program that could help. It's been a learning process all 35 years, and I still learn every day.

that is a really positive outlook. i'm poor at spotting good totals picks, so that's why i needed the software. i might throw a few questions your way on totals picks this season then. once the playoff push starts the average goals will drop by a half point easy and more games will be one goal games so sides are tougher to predict.

Good thing I didn't make any Under plays yesterday...was leaning Under in Colorado and in Anaheim. Nice job DD!

Yeah, that Hawks game is a coin flip on the total. I'm hoping for 0 goals in the 1st period so I can cash on the Under 1.5 - 1P. It's a bit pricey at -150, but the Nashville-Kings game on Sat. had 0 goals and ended up wtih 7.

I'd settle for none in the first and 7 the rest of the way. I must admit, even though it's an opinion, I do have a "touch" on it.

I was hoping to get Nash-Minn for better than -140 though.

Yeah, but I put in a 1.5 unit bet on Jackets TT (U 2.5) and only .5 units on the Under in Minny, so would break even at 2-1 on totals tonight...these TT Unders not working well for me this year...about 3-6 so far and with the juice, you take a good hit with every loss.

Thanks, BH. Most of the time they are not that high. I just post these for anyone to use them as an additional tool for their handicapping. If they are too high for anyone, they can reduce their bet or not play them.
