Even if you'll go with unit system, I suggest to use a narrow range. For example, there shouldn't be dramatical differences between your units such as 1 Unit, 5 Unit, 20 Unit, 50 Unit. What's the point of playing 1 Unit? What if your 1 Units plays go 9-0 but you lose your 20 Unit play?

You can use 2-3-4 or 3-4-5. This is much better then 1-2-3-4-5 unit system.

In horse racing, I'm using something very similiar to Maria's Lay Staking System. In point spread sports, I bet flat, straight.

i stole this quote from a Ganchrow post, who in turn stole it from TLD:

"It’s a mistake to think of flat betting as the default strategy, or the appropriate strategy for situations of uncertainty. When you flat bet, you aren’t being agnostic as to the degree of your edge; you’re taking a stand that the edge is equal for all bets.

man i wish he was still posting here on the regular and even more than that i wish i could read the formulas in his posts. many thanks to him for for the education.
