NFL Player News - Week 12

    Courtesy of Footballguys,com

CHI - QB Mitchell Trubisky dealing with hip injury

    Source: ChicagoBears.com

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky (hip) suffered a right hip pointer when he was sacked at the end of the second quarter in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams, according to head coach Matt Nagy. Trubisky was pulled from the game late in favor of Chase Daniel, but Nagy insisted the move was made due to the injury.'Every decision that was made, it had zero to do with his play. It was completely based off his injury and where he was at,' Nagy said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Trubisky is the starter if he's healthy, but we'll see how long this hip injury lingers with him. Daniel is a seasoned veteran who has already started earlier this year when Trubisky was banged up. Adjust expectations for the Bears offense accordingly.

IND - Optimism building for WR T.Y. Hilton

Source: The Athletic - Stephen Holder

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (calf) ramped up his rehab work and made 'great progress' last week, according to head coach Frank Reich. As such, he is 'very much in play' for Week 12, according to Stephen Holder of The Athletic.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Colts play on Thursday night against the Texans, and Hilton would be a welcome addition for their passing attack. Watch his status during this short week of practice.

IND - RB Marlon Mack out at least this week

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating previous reports, Indianapolis Colts RB Marlon Mack (hand) is not expected to play in Week 12 Thursday, Nov. 21. He'll see a specialist this week to figure out how long he'll be out.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jordan Wilkins missed Week 11, so the team turned to Johnathan Williams as their lead back with Mack down on Sunday. Williams responded with 13 carries for 116 yards and one catch for 31 yards. The Colts play on Thursday night, so Williams should get first priority at running back in Week 12.

PIT - RB James Conner's Week 12 status unknown

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) appears to be in line for a questionable tag for Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals. He reportedly did not cause any more damage to his AC joint before leaving the Week 11 game against the Cleveland Browns, but his overall status versus the Bengals is 'up in the air,' according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a great matchup against the Bengals in Week 12, but Fantasy GMs are going to have to watch the injury report closely. We'll know more about Conner's status later in the week.

PIT - WR JuJu Smith-Schuster dealing with knee issue

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee, concussion) suffered a knee injury in addition to a concussion on the play that knocked him out of the game in Week 11 against the Cleveland Browns. He is reportedly currently wearing a brace on his knee.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's just a down year for Smith-Schuster as he's dealt with losing his quarterback, more attention from defenses and nagging injuries. Watch his practice status during the week. Most Fantasy GMs have adjusted their expectations for Smith-Schuster based on his disappointing production in 2019.

TB - QB Jameis Winston should play Week 12

    Source: ESPN.com - Jenna Laine

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston (ankle) is expected to play in Week 12 against the Atlanta Falcons despite suffering an ankle sprain in Week 11 that was impacting his ability to step into throws, according to head coach Bruce Arians.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Winston is a turnover machine this year and he could throw nearly 30 interceptions in 2019. The Buccaneers have given no indications of moving on from him this year but we fully expect them to find another quarterback for the 2020 season.

ATL - TE Austin Hooper likely to sit Wednesday

Source: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution - D. Orlando Ledbetter

Atlanta Falcons RB Austin Hooper (knee) is not expected to practice Wednesday, Nov. 20, but head coach Dan Quinn is hopeful he can return to practice later in the week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hooper's knee injury was initially supposed to sideline him for a month. It might be a week or two before he actually is back in action. The Falcons aren't going to use a tight end much in his place, so Fantasy GMs need to look for help elsewhere.

ATL - RB Devonta Freeman likely to miss Wednesday

Source: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution - D. Orlando Ledbetter

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (foot) is not expected to practice Wednesday, Nov. 20, but head coach Dan Quinn is hopeful he can return to practice later in the week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll see if Freeman can get back out there on Thursday. He's trending in the right direction but no lock to play against the Buccaneers on Sunday. Brian Hill was the lead back for the Falcons in Week 11 but is splitting time with Kenjon Barner and Qadree Ollison in the backfield.

IND - RB Jordan Wilkins eyeing Week 12 return

Source: CNHI Sports Indiana - George Bremer

Indianapolis Colts RB Jordan Wilkins (ankle) told reporters his ankle 'feels great' and that he anticipates being ready to play in Week 12 versus the Houston Texans.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wilkins has had a speedy recovery from this ankle injury, so he could be in the mix on Thursday night against the Texans. Jonathan Williams had over 100 yards rushing on Sunday with Marlon Mack getting bounced due to a hand injury. Williams should get first chance to be the lead back. Nyheim Hines will continue to work as the team's change-of-pace back.

CLE - TE David Njoku could practice Wednesday

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (wrist) is day-to-day and could possibly practice Wednesday, Nov. 20, according to head coach Freddie Kitchens.'We have to get him on the football field to see with his conditioning, physically, mentally. I don't know yet,' Kitchens said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy GMs need to be dialed in here. Njoku is eligible to come off IR in Week 12 and would be a great asset for the Browns and fantasy players. He's got TE1 upside if healthy because Njoku creates mismatches any time he's on the field and will be a trusted target of Baker Mayfield. We'll see what his conditioning is like this week and whether or not he'll get out there on game day.

NYG - TE Evan Engram could return in Week 12

    Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan

New York Giants TE Evan Engram (foot) shed his walking boot Monday, Nov. 18, and believes he can resume running and cutting at some point later in the week. He told ESPN's Jordan Raanan that it is 'definitely possible' to return in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Getting Engram back would be a boost for the Giants passing attack. He's missed a couple of games this year with injury and hasn't played since Week 9 against the Cowboys. We'll know more about his practice status during the week.

HOU - WR Will Fuller likely game-time decision

Source: NFL Network - James Palmer

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (hamstring) is expected to be a game-time decision for Week 12 versus the Indianapolis Colts.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a short week for the Texans as they play the Colts on Thursday night. Fantasy GMs have other options at the ready because of Fuller's injury history. We'd rather see him back for a week...and stay healthy (and produce)...before just blindly plugging him back into the lineup. Kenny Stills and Keke Coutee should get more work in Week 12.

Chase Daniel is a great backup and should step right in and handle his business.

Daniel is a better option than Trubisky.

    Wednesday Update

PIT - Pittsburgh puts three into concussion protocol

Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Gerry Dulac

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion, knee), WR DIontae Johnson (concussion) and DE Olasunkanmi Adeniyi (concussion) were officially placed in the league's concussion protocol Tuesday, Nov. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Steelers WR corps is banged up in a big way, so Fantasy GMs need to have other options at the ready. They may have to lean on James Washington and Johnny Holton against the Bengals this weekend.

IND - WR T.Y. Hilton still a possibility

Source: CNHI Sports Indiana - George Bremer

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (calf) can play Thursday, Nov. 21, if he receives medical clearance from doctors and clearance from the team, according to head coach Frank Reich.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reports are coming in that say Hilton has made 'great progress' since last week as he's ramped up his rehab work. We might see Hilton as a welcome return to the Colts passing attack on Thursday night against the Texans.

CHI - Chicago adds RB Jeremy McNichols to PS

Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo

Free-agent RB Jeremy McNichols (Titans) was signed to the practice squad of the Chicago Bears on Tuesday, Nov. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We've always appreciated McNichols in crazy deep dynasty formats. He's a good all-purpose back but he's bounced around the league to a few teams since the Buccaneers selected him in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL draft.

LAR - WR Brandin Cooks set to return Week 12

    Source: TheRams.com - Stu Jackson

Los Angeles Rams WR Brandin Cooks (concussion) is expected to return from a two-game absence and play in Week 12 versus the Baltimore Ravens.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for the Rams offense here. They'll need all the horsepower they can get with the Ravens on the schedule Monday night. Cooks needs to be monitored during the week of practice. If he plays, Fantasy GMs can consider him a WR3 or flex play upon his return after missing the last two games.

KC - WR Tyreek Hill to have MRI

Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (hamstring) will have an MRI on his hamstring in the next day or so, and there will be a better timetable after that.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hamstring injuries are difficult to determine the severity without an MRI. We'll have to wait to see how serious this is. The Chiefs have a bye in Week 12 and it couldn't come at a better time with Hill banged up.

PIT - RB Benny Snell returning to practice

Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Gerry Dulac

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Benny Snell (knee) will be evaluated in practice Tuesday, Nov. 19, and head coach Mike Tomlin said he's excited about Snell's potential return.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll see what Snell can do in practice this week for the Steelers. Snell could get some work in the backfield if James Conner (shoulder) continues to struggle with injury. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said he "doesn't know the availability" of Conner for Week 12 against the Bengals.

MIA - RB Mark Walton released

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Miami Dolphins RB Mark Walton was released Tuesday, Nov. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reports are coming in that Walton was arrested on Tuesday morning for a domestic violence incident. It was Walton's fourth arrest of the year, and the details of this latest incident are quite disturbing. "We were made aware of a police matter earlier this morning regarding Walton," Dolphins general manager Chris Grier released in a statement. "We hold our players to a high standard and take these matters very seriously. We will have no further comment at this time."

    Thursday Update

KC - WR Tyreek Hill receives good news

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (hamstring) suffered a minor hamstring strain, and he's considered day to day.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for the Chiefs...just like the timing of their bye in Week 12. Hill should be out there and his normal self against the Raiders in Week 13.

IND - RB Marlon Mack ruled out

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts RB Marlon Mack (hand) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 20, and has been ruled out for Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprise here. It's a short week for the Colts with their game on Thursday night against the Texans. Mack will be replaced by a RBBC featuring Jonathan Williams, Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines.

PIT - WR JuJu Smith-Schuster remains out

    Source: ESPN - Brooke Pryor

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion, knee) remains in the concussion protocol Wednesday, Nov. 20, and has a significant brace on his left knee.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A 'significant' brace is a significant concern for Fantasy GMs. Smith-Schuster is unlikely to play against the Bengals. Rookie Diontae Johnson also has a concussion, so the Steelers may have to go with James Washington, Johnny Holton, Tevin Jones, and Deon Cain at wide receiver.

DEN - RB Phillip Lindsay limited

    Source: DenverBroncos.com

Denver Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay (foot, wrist) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lindsay should get a healthy workload against the Bills on Sunday. The Broncos aren't using him enough but that may change based on the Bills weakness when stopping the run. Start him as an RB2 with upside in Week 12.

LAR - WR Brandin Cooks cleared to play

    Source: NFL.com - Nick Shook

Los Angeles Rams WR Brandin Cooks (concussion) has been cleared to play in the Week 12 game, according to head coach Sean McVay.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cooks has missed the last two games but is on track for Week 12. It's a huge game against the Ravens and having Cooks is much-needed help for the Rams offense.

ATL - QB Matt Ryan doesn't practice Wednesday

    Source: AtlantaFalcons.com

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan (ankle) didn't participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ryan is just resting his ankle here. Against the Buccaneers in Week 12, Ryan is a must start for Fantasy GMs.

NE - WR Mohamed Sanu doesn't practice

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Mohamed Sanu (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Outside of one game, Sanu hasn't done much with his new team. Fantasy GMs have better options even if Sanu does play in Week 12.

PIT - WR Diontae Johnson a full participant

    Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (concussion) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson is still in the concussion protocol. We'll have to see if he's cleared later in the week but it looks like he's trending in the right direction.

DAL - WR Amari Cooper practices in full

Source: The Athletic - Jon Machota

Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper (knee) practiced in full Wednesday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a good sign for Cooper in Week 12. He's been playing a little banged up, but his quarterback Dak Prescott is on fire. Cooper is a WR2 with upside for Fantasy GMs in Week 12.

PIT - RB James Conner misses practice

    Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said he "doesn't know the availability" of Conner for Week 12 against the Bengals. It looks like they'll go with Jaylen Samuels as their top back once again.

HOU - WR Will Fuller gets questionable tag

    Source: Houston Texans PR

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (hamstring) remained limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 20, and is listed as questionable for Week 12's game against the Indianapolis Colts Thursday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's tough to trust Fuller. He's talented but oft-injured. We like him as a 'what the heck' flex because of the upside...and the risk.

CHI - QB Mitchell Trubisky expected to start Sunday

Source: Chicago Tribune - Rich Campbell

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky (hip) practiced in full Wednesday, Nov. 20, and is expected to start against the New York Giants Sunday, Nov. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Trubisky's hip injury is not seen as serious. However, his play has been below average so the Bears might have a short leash for their young quarterback after he was benched in Week 11.

SEA - TE Ed Dickson activated

    Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle

Seattle Seahawks TE Ed Dickson (knee) was activated off of injured reserve Wednesday, Nov. 20. CB Jamar Taylor was waived to create room on the 53-man roster.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Seahawks have been looking for tight end help all year long. The emergence of Jacob Hollister could be stunted just a bit by the return of Dickson to the lineup.

IND - Questionable tag for WR T.Y. Hilton

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (calf) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 20, and is listed as questionable for Week 12. The Colts did not hold a practice Wednesday, so this is an estimation.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We should see Hilton as a game-time decision for Thursday night. Hilton versus the Texans is most always a good play, so watch his status closely.

ATL - RB Devonta Freeman trending up

    Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (foot) is trending up, but he won't practice Wednesday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That's cool and all but it would be nice to see Freeman get a full practice before the Falcons play in Week 12. We'll see if he can get out there Friday and then start. The Falcons will go with a combination of Brian Hill, Qadree Ollison and Kenjon Barner if Freeman has to miss another game.

ATL - TE Austin Hooper out again

    Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons TE Austin Hooper (knee) will be out for Week 12, but he could start running Thursday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hooper is unlikely to play in Week 12. His knee injury was originally supposed to have him out for about a month and he's only missed one game so far. It will be two games missed when he doesn't play on Sunday. Hooper does sound like he might be a bit ahead in his recovery. We'll see what he does in next week's practice.

NYG - WR Sterling Shepard remains in protocol

    Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol, but he practiced in full Wednesday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Shepard has battled a couple of concussions this year. The Giants will continue to be cautious with the veteran receiver. He's expected to be cleared for Week 12.

NYG - TE Evan Engram still out

    Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan

New York Giants TE Evan Engram (foot) remains out of practice Wednesday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Engram is out of his walking boot and trending the right way. He still is no lock to play in Week 12 against the Bears.

    Friday Update

SF - TE George Kittle gets in limited session Thursday

Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (knee, ankle) took part in a limited practice Thursday, Nov. 21, wearing a blue non-contact jersey.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kittle has a chance to play on Sunday night, but you'll need to have Ross Dwelley, Jimmy Graham, Nick Boyle, Hayden Hurst, or Gerald Everett on your roster as a hedge against a Sunday night inactive.

NE - Reunion possible for WR Antonio Brown?

Source: NFL Network - Michael Giardi

Free-agent WR Antonio Brown (Patriots) has reportedly been the topic of discussions among the decision-makers of the New England Patriots, who have 'kicked the tires' on re-signing him recently, according to WEEI's Christian Fauria.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stranger things have happened but this feels like a long shot story. Brown might not be allowed to play by the league if he is signed, and the Patriots need Robert Kraft's sign-off, so this is not as close as the Patriots players might hope right now. But if we know anything, it's that you never really know what's going to happen with Antonio Brown. Keep an eye on it but this feels like a long shot to us.

It's also worth noting Patriots beat reporter Jeff Howe reported Thursday night the Patriots will not be re-signing Brown and these rumors can be put to rest.

PIT - RB James Conner misses practice

    Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (shoulder) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jaylen Samuels and Benny Snell are set to split the work in Cincinnati this week, Samuels is a PPR RB2 and Snell a what the heck flex.

PIT - WR JuJu Smith-Schuster's status iffy

    Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion, knee) remains in the league's concussion protocol Thursday, Nov. 21, and also is dealing with a knee contusion suffered in Week 11. His status for Week 12 is very much up in the air three days out from kickoff.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Don't expect Smith-Schuster to play in this one. James Washington is probably the best Steelers wide receiver play in the good matchup at Cincinnati this weekend.

SF - WR Emmanuel Sanders limited in practice

    Source: Packers.com

San Francisco 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) was limited at practice Thursday, Nov. 21. He didn't participate Wednesday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanders is trending in the right direction but he was active last week and didn't look comfortable. He'll be a boom/bust WR3/flex if he's active.

SF - WR Deebo Samuel receives Thursday upgrade

    Source: Packers.com

San Francisco 49ers WR Deebo Samuel (shoulder) was upgraded from a non-participant to limited at practice Thursday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Samuel is trending in the right direction, but will probably be a game time decision on Sunday night. He'll have a good outlook if he can go against the suspect Packers secondary.

San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) didn't participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 21.

WAS - RB Adrian Peterson misses practice

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson (toe) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 21.

Derrius Guice could be a good sleeper this week if Peterson is out although Peterson has been playing well through injuries.

NYG - WR Sterling Shepard takes part in practice

    Source: Giants.com

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Shepard is still in concussion protocol and the Giants may take it slow with him because he has suffered two head injuries this year. If he can get back on the field for a schedule of easy pass defenses from Week 13-16, he'll be worth a roster spot in typical leagues.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (concussion) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson hasn't been cleared from concussion protocol yet but it appears he is on track to do that before Sunday's game. He'll be an upside WR3/Flex if he can go on Sunday vs. Cincinnati with Juju Smith-Schuster likely out.

    Source: ChicagoBears.com

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky (hip) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bears have an out if they want to start Chase Daniel, which would greatly affect the projections of their passing game. We might be watching this one until game time, but for now, assume Trubisky will start.

LAR - WR Robert Woods to practice Thursday

Los Angeles Rams WR Robert Woods (non-injury) has rejoined the team and will participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 21, according to head coach Sean McVay. Woods' status for Week 12 is uncertain.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Woods wouldn't be a great play against the stellar Ravens corners if he does go, but his presence could complicate the projection of the Rams passing game in a tough matchup. We're glad that he has been able to return to the team and hope whatever the issue was is behind him.

New England Patriots WR Phillip Dorsett (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol Thursday, Nov. 21, but the team is optimistic that Dorsett will be cleared in time for Sunday's Week 12 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

PHI - WR Nelson Agholor remains out

Source: The Athletic - Zach Berman

Philadelphia Eagles WR Nelson Agholor (knee) missed practice Thursday, Nov. 21, for the second straight day as he deals with a knee injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It doesn't look like he's going to give it a go on Sunday...and Fantasy GMs have better options anyway. The Eagles also have Alshon Jeffery a little banged up, so their only healthy receivers for Week 12 are guys like J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Mack Hollins, and Jordan Matthews.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It doesn't look like Engram is going to play against the Bears. Sixth-round rookie Kaden Smith will get more playing time if Engram is out. Rhett Ellison is trending to be out this week too.

Outside of one game, Sanu has not done much for the Patriots since being acquired via trade. We'll see if 2019 first-round pick N'Keal Harry will take advantage of his opportunity to do more. Undrafted rookie Jakobi Meyers will get a chance to do more too with Sanu out.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Agholor isn't trustworthy even if he plays because he hasn't practiced this week, but if he's active it will help Carson Wentz's value.

Jaylen Samuels is a strong play in PPR leagues and he was very good against the Bengals in the first matchup. The team has listed him as questionable but his shoulder needs to improve to play vs. Seattle. Miles Sanders will be flexworthy and a bye/injury RB2 play if Howard is out again, and Jay Ajayi should play a role in Howard's place.

    Sunday Update

LAR - WR Robert Woods not a lock to suit up

    Source: ESPN.com - Lindsey Thiry

Los Angeles Rams WR Robert Woods (personal) is 'looking good' at practice, according to head coach Sean McVay Saturday, Nov. 23. McVay wouldn't commit to Woods playing against the Baltimore Ravens Monday, Nov. 25, and said the team is 'just taking it day by day.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep an eye on this for Sunday and hopefully we'll get a bit of clarity. Right now, it's looking uncertain.

NE - QB Tom Brady likely to play Sunday

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (elbow) is expected to play in Week 12's game against the Dallas Cowboys, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Against the Cowboys on Sunday, Brady is more of a mid-tier QB2 for Fantasy GMs.

LAR - RB Malcolm Brown gets in full practice

Los Angeles Rams RB Malcolm Brown (non-injury) returned to a full practice Saturday, Nov. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brown can get some work behind Todd Gurley. He's an important handcuff for Fantasy GMs as we get closer to the fantasy playoffs.

LAR - WR Brandin Cooks gets in another full practice

    Source: TheRams.com

Los Angeles Rams WR Brandin Cooks (concussion) practiced in full again Saturday, Nov. 23, and has been cleared to play Monday, Nov. 25, against the Baltimore Ravens.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cooks is good to go against the Ravens. This is a huge game for the Rams offense and Cooks should be considered a deep flex in Week 12.

DEN - QB Drew Lock not guaranteed to play this year

Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo

Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock's NFL debut date remains undetermined but the team is confident with his progress and 'wouldn't hesitate to play him if they get an opening,' according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network on Saturday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Broncos have Brandon Allen as their current starter but Lock is considered to be a potential quarterback of the future while Allen is seen more as a spot starter. When the Broncos get to eight losses (they have seven losses now), we could see them change their tune about whether or not Lock is going to play as a rookie. We think it's best for them to get him out there ASAP and determine whether or not they need to go back to the well at quarterback in the 2020 NFL draft.

SF - WR Deebo Samuel likely for Week 12

Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco

San Francisco 49ers WR Deebo Samuel (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Week 12, but is expected to play against the Green Bay Packers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Against the Packers on Sunday, we see Samuel as a WR3 or flex option for Fantasy GMs. His targets and usage may be determined by whether or not Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) is able to make it through the game unscathed.

SF - WR Emmanuel Sanders should be a go

Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco

San Francisco 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) is expected to play in Week 12 on Sunday, Nov. 24. He is listed as questionable with a rib injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rib injuries always come down to pain tolerance. Sanders could start the game then have a flare up of his ribs issue and leave the contest. The shaky nature of that injury could have Sanders on a lot of benches this week. We get it, and Sanders should be more of a deep flex or 'what the heck' flex in Week 12.

SF - TE George Kittle expected to play

Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (knee, ankle) is expected to play Sunday, Nov. 24, in Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for the 49ers here and Fantasy GMs are still likely to start Kittle. If he can't go at the last minute, then Ross Dwelley would take over at the position.

NE - WR Mohamed Sanu unlikely to play

Source: Boston Herald - Karen Guregian

New England Patriots WR Mohamed Sanu (ankle) is not expected to play in Week 12's game against the Dallas Cowboys, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Outside of one game, Sanu hasn't done much for his new team. Without Sanu, the Patriots will lean on rookie N'Keal Harry a bit more in Week 12 against the Cowboys.

Los Angeles Rams WR Brandin Cooks said he never considered retirement after sustaining his second concussion in a 25-day span during Week 8's game.

He cleared concussion protocol earlier this week and is expected to return to action for Week 12's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Patriots offense is awful! They are lucky they have a very good defense and the best coach in history. I highly doubt they win the SB this season and don't think they will get past Baltimore in the playoffs.

I'm sure the Panthers are searching for one right now.

As a Saints fan I can tell you we lucked out on this one.

    Monday Update

BUF - RB Frank Gore finishes with 65 yards

    Source: NFL.com

Buffalo Bills RB Frank Gore rushed for 65 yards on 15 carries against the Denver Broncos in Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gore became the #3 all time rusher, passing Barry Sanders in this game. His longevity is something special after he suffered two catastrophic knee injuries before playing a down in the NFL.

NO - WR Michael Thomas keeps delivering

    Source: ESPN.com

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas topped 100 receiving yards for the fifth straight game, finishing with 10 catches on 11 targets for 101 yards and a touchdown in a 34-31 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 12.

CAR - WR D.J. Moore stays hot

    Source: ESPN.com

Carolina Panthers WR D.J. Moore caught six of his nine targets for 126 yards and two touchdowns and rushed once for eight yards in a 34-31 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 12, and he has finished wirth at least 95 yards in each of the last four games.

SEA - RB Rashaad Penny rumbles for 129 yards, TD

    Source: ESPN

Seattle Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny rushed 14 times for 129 yards and a 58-yard touchdown run in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

CHI - QB Mitchell Trubisky picked off twice in win

    Source: ESPN

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky completed 25-of-41 passes for 278 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Week 12 against the New York Giants and he also rushed for a score.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Trubisky threw an end zone pick and struggled early, but had a good second half and probably will keep his job through the end of the season on the strength of this performance. We'll get to see him on Thanksgiving against the Lions in a matchup that could get him some QB2/Superflex consideration.

NYG - RB Saquon Barkley just so-so in Week 12

    Source: ESPN

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley rushed 17 times a game-high 59 yards while adding two grabs for just one yard on three targets in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Barkley dropped an early pass that could been a nice gain and never created any momentum in this game despite a good matchup against the Akiem Hicks-less Bears run defense. He'll face a possibly even better matchup against the Packers run defense next week.

CLE - WR Odell Beckham Jr. find end zone again

    Source: ESPN

Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. finished with six receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown on eight targets in Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Beckham scored as everyone got right against the Dolphins. He should stay in lineups against the Steelers defense he almost scored against in Week 11.

CLE - Solid afternoon for QB Baker Mayfield

    Source: ESPN

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 24-of-34 passes for 327 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Everyone's offense gets well against Miami. Philadelphia and Carson Wentz test that theory next week. Mayfield gets a tough Steelers defense next week on the road, but his value is revived for late season games against Cincinnati and Arizona in Weeks 14 and 15.

TB - WR Chris Godwin has outstanding game

    Source: NFL.com

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin caught seven passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12. He was targeted eight times during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Godwin had a long catch and run score, another score through a big hit, and was the best part of the Bucs offense against a once again beatable Falcons defense. He could be a first round pick in fantasy leagues next year and faces the Jaguars next week.

MIA - WR DeVante Parker racks up 91 yards

    Source: ESPN

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker posted six grabs for 91 yards on a team-high 11 targets in Week 12 against the Cleveland Browns.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Parker has been consistent and healthy in his best season to date. The Dolphins might not add an impact quarterback in the draft, but Parker's arrow is still pointing up for dynasty. He's a WR3/Flex against the Eagles next week.

TB - Three touchdowns for QB Jameis Winston

    Source: NFL.com

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston went 18-for-28 for 313 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12. He also rushed for 38 yards on eight carries during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Winston has been reliable for fantasy this year even though he has often showed his negatives, just as he did early in this game. His excellent wide receiver play is adding value heading into a good matchup with a reeling Jacksonville squad in Week 13.

NYJ - WR Robby Anderson finishes with 86 yards, TD

    Source: ESPN

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson ended up with four catches for 86 yards and a touchdown in Week 12 against the Oakland Raiders on five targets.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Anderson finally came through after many fantasy teams had dropped him. He will be picked up in anticipation of the Bengals matchup next week and Miami Week 14 game.

NYJ - QB Sam Darnold goes over 300 yards

    Source: ESPN

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold completed 20-of-29 passes for 315 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 12 against the Oakland Raiders and he ran for 16 yards and a touchdown.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Darnold and the Jets were almost flawles in this game against a sleepwalking Raiders team. He is red hot for fantasy heading into a matchup with the hapless Bengals as the Jets play themselves out of the early draft picks that should be led by Cincinnati.

OAK - QB Derek Carr gets an early shower

    Source: ESPN

Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr completed 15-of-27 passes for 127 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Week 12 against the New York Jets, and he was pulled late with the game out of hand.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Carr was terrible along with the rest of the Raiders team in this one. His value as a streamer or QB2/Superflex or DFS play is in question going into what looked like a good matchup against Kansas City next week and the Raiders playoff hopes also took a hit in this one.
