First Cup race I'll miss there since the second year it was open.

I been trying to think of diff lineups instead of the guys I think everybody and their brother will have and hope those guys do bad. Lol. But some u have no choice sometimes because of starting position

Yeah it's a little ridiculous that you are safer taking D Ragan to finish around 20th rather than J Logano if he led 150 laps but finished 8th.

Or you have 5 guys that fail inspection and can't qualify so start in back. Pretty much an auto line up if your in a year long league.

Yeah, don't understand why there are more people in Fox though except that maybe it is because it is so much easier. So much more strategy you can use with NASCAR, it is a lot more fun to put together a lineup even if it is a pain in the ass. With Fox, you can pretty much have what you want and the driver ratings are ridiculous.

have to be honest, I kinda thought it worked like DK lineups that lead laps helped in this contest too. Lol. Need to actually read the scoring I guess. I knew the pos diff which is most inportant I guess. I'm getting the hang of the whole fantasy thing though. I had never have played fantasy anything til this year.

Still my regular betting on races takes almost all of my time, but fantasy is getting easier to pick at least and I understand more than i did to start the season

Personal choice

Doubt it really makes a difference in the end. The Fox contest is probably just as well designed for the final outcome for those that might have an edge. The races are largely going to be random from race to race but a set up like this week creates a ridiculous situation.

I retract what I said about NASCAR Fantasy being a better race. It is definitely more interesting to compete in but massively over-rewards frontrunners so I think Fox Fantasy might actually be the better race even if it needs tweaking. A combination of the two contests would probably be a very good one so running in both is probably your best option as you wind up with 1 good contest between the two lousy ones.

I can definitely see now how those fantasy guys took all the dough at DraftKings and FanDuel. The advantage they had is absurd. This has been my first experience with fantasy.

Aric Almirola Released from Kansas Hospital

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – (May 14, 2017) – Aric Almirola, driver of the No. 43 Richard Petty Motorsports Ford, has been released from a local Kansas hospital and will fly back to his home in Mooresville, N.C. today.

Almirola suffered a compression fracture to his T5 Vertebra after a multi-car accident at Kansas Speedway Saturday night. Almirola is mobile and will follow-up with his doctors in Charlotte.

Richard Petty Motorsports will provide further updates when available.

compression fracture? what the hell does that mean, he blew out a disk in his t spine? is he out for the season, or can u drive with a f'n compression fracture? is he paralyzed?

edit: just watched the wreck, and have to wonder why he wasn't lifting with all that was happening in front of him.... barrelling through didn't seem to be the right move at all..... had something broke in his car?

have we heard why he was still at seeming full speed when he plowed into lagoono and wannica?

Depend on the actual severity.

Surgery is rre in thoracic lumbar fractures, but u also can barley from pain and soreness. A lot of pain pills and minimal activity. Doubtful he will be back in the car anytime soon. All jut despond how bad the fracture is

On the TV they said they thought he ran over the debri from the original wreck and lost control.

Pretty sure it's the similar injury Hamlin had when he misses time a few yrs ago
