I decided to go big on this too. I don't know why everyone is in love with Iowa here. Penn St may not be a great team, but they are going to smack Iowa in there first game outside of the state of Iowa IMO.

What's your opinion on Florida today Vin? I was thinking about taking them today too. Everyone on here is claiming LSU = free money. Typically it is profiitable to fade a heavy consensus on this forum. Any thoughts?

Blue - If I was going to bet it - and I am 100% not....I would take Florida. I have noticed the same thing in the forum.

Seems like no one is giving Florida a chance on TV either if you noticed that too.

At least you are up positive units for the week! Good job. This was an abysmal weekend for me. Went 3-5 and lost alot of profit made over the season. Thing that saved my bankroll was a nice ML parlay I made at the last minute that netted me some nice cash on Saturday but my forum picks went to hell. Got any feeling for tonight's game? My gut is telling me Chicago and the points but I don't know if I can pull the trigger the way they have been playing. I have been playing Detroit and doing great but they have been dogs. Not sure about them having to cover.

I'll get back at it...I have just lost too many times betting A&M Hate that effing team.

updated record still up two games on the year. Just need a couple good weeks to hit that 60% or so plateau.

In the past I have always had consisten weeks going 4-4, 5-5, but then hit a couple 6-0 or 8-0 type weeks, and that is where I usually manage to get above 60% on my picks. Rarely have a week this 1-7, 2-6, etc.....

This season I just cant seem to jump .500 or much above it unfortunately....

I am living in the 50% land myself right now. Still up positive units which is always a good thing so thanks for asking. I won on my teaser last night because I just couldn't pull the trigger on the Bears. I teased the Lions and the under and called it a night. I need to take the philosophy of "less is more". I think I am just playing wayyyyyyyyyy to many games. I just can't help myself. I am my own worst enemy. LOL

No problems Vin---and trust me, I have been there. The only way you manage to keep your sanity is telling yourself what you read on here should not change your approach.

Ride it out---seriously, if nothing else you'll have this experience for next year. I am dead serious when I tell you that in my first year here--2008, I pretty much had the same issues. I would come down on a side, and then read something--and talk myself out of it. In 2009 and 2010...and this year, 2011---I just trusted my power numbers and made the play.

Yeah man. Talked myself into switching BOTH picks last night due to reading the board. Lol

And it seems like every time i have done that here it goes the wrong way. I am not saying i would be at my 65% but there have been at least 5 or six games i have done this on whereas in the past obviously i would have just picked the games and moved on without rethinking it.

Ah well. Its no excuse and hopefully i have a better weekend.

Not sure why that happened my friend. I thought you would have been ALL OVER Arizona. I took them at the last minute for -5.5 but couldn't get on the forum so not posting it as a winner or a pick but I had remembered that you had posted you felt it was a strong pick. So wanted to come on this morning to give you props. Really hope you stick around the forum because I feel you are a legit poster and enjoy your insight and sharing your thoughts on the Big 10.

honestly....I went against how I usually pick games because square bets have been winning on this board all year on Thursdays.

Both games last night, I origionally capped the other way, and changed.

Frustrating.

Great game indeed! Gotta say I respect a guy that pays up promptly even if I disagree with their forum posts so glad that Sundae is a man of his word. Now, if Ohio State can do the same thing against the Maize and Blue, then this year would have been a success as far as I am concerned. I say too that OSU covers this weekend against Indiana.

Grey - I dont like OSU to cover at all this week...coming off two big wins in a row, and I am afraid that this team is young enough that they will start to think they have "arrived"

That said, I think they still win, but I wouldnt even put them in a teaser unless it was 13 pts or something. Even then, I could see a 34-21 type game.
