Yea its pathetic among us Americans being so limited, even you brits tend to have more language skills from what I've noticed...

Every time I travel outside of the states I am very humbled and feel less intelligent as it seems most people I encounter can speak both English and their home language, and sometimes other languages.

I met a dude at this hostel in Amsterdam from Argentina, he spoke English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and broken Russian. We were sitting at this table burning some of A-dam's finest and he was conversing with all these different world travelers at the same time, it was one of the most incredible things I've ever seen... and you could tell each girl from each country's language he was speaking wanted to blow this guy....haha I was jealous to say the least.

Well, you probably could've done it if you had asked nice. Euros are very openminded.

Who Sakara? He can speak English, just not as fluently as Portuguese and Spanish. He spent years in South America training so learnt the languages over there

But yeah, it's quite impressive, and I'm not even sure us Brits are any better. I can speak very basic Italian because I've supported Juventus since I was young and always liked Italy and been there a lot...but when I was at school I had zero motivation to learn languages despite the ample opportunities.

Italians in general speak very poor english. Unless I am wrong its because they have no requirement to learn english in school.

My only motivation was to learn English but I also read Spanish for about 5 years. Despite this, I can barely say anything in Spanish

Thats when you know you werent paying much attention and today I regret this.

In Sweden, all education is free which is a big plus and something many do not appreciate enough.

Would usually only be a 5 to 10 unit play but I'm increasing my stakes for a period of time to see what happens, and accept some variance. Dealing with high variance has been something that I've never been too confident about...I've always had a style of just plodding along and getting consistent small to medium gains rather than high gains one week, loss next week, etc...

Not massively confident in Nunes, but as long as he survives early on he should have the cardio to take over. If anybody gets take-downs it will be Nunes, the fact that he's been working a lot with Kenny Johnson and that Johnson is gonna be in his corner gives me more confidence that Nunes will look to mix things up. From the weigh-ins it's pretty clear that Siver hasn't had the best of weight-cuts, and I wouldnt be surprised to see him looking a little more lethargic after a round or 2 tomorrow night, and us hearing Florian or whoever saying that the weight-cut might not of been the best of decisions.

yeah, I'm not massively confident...just gotta hope he doesnt get caught early. Worries me that Maguire still trains at Tsunami and hasn't stepped it up at a better camp...this fight might turn out to be the eye-opener that makes him re-consider his loyalty to his team in Cambridge. Just basing the play on the fact that DaMarques has struggled against anybody that has looked to take him down and control and Maguire is exactly that type of fighter is what's keeping me from arbing out.
