Which sportsbooks offer live/in-play betting on UFC/MMA events in Ontario?

Live betting has become my specialization. With pre-betting I oscillate between wins and losses, effectively breaking even over time. With live betting, though, I can consistently generate profits on an indefinite basis.

So far, through experience, this is the list of sportsbooks that I have confirmed offer live/in-play odds for, at the very least, UFC events. If they cover more than just UFC events, including other MMA promotions such as Bellator, PFL, LFA, etc, I will specify that.

https://www.on.bet365.ca/ I know they offer live odds on UFC. I can't remember if they cover Bellator and PFL with live odds. I think they do. The problem with Bet365 is that their platform has long become virtually unusable for me on desktop (I literally can't place bets) due to them being unable to confirm my location, regardless of the browser used. You jump through all the hoops of scanning the QR code with their authenticator app, try to place a bet, and then it asks you to do it all over again having made zero progress. This is the only sportsbook I've had this problem with.

https://sports.on.betmgm.ca/ This sportsbook is f***ing awesome for live betting. They cover UFC. They cover Bellator. They cover PFL. They probably cover one or two other MMA promotions with live odds. They even cover Bare Knuckle FC, which is arguably easier to live bet than MMA due to being more streamlined and one-dimensional (less likely for something crazy to happen out of nowhere such as a submission). Haven't really noticed any issues with limits being imposed yet. The only thing off the top of my head that I don't like about BetMGM's live betting experience, is that it has a bet submission delay/buffer period that will often backfire and screw with your ability to place a live bet at key opportunities. Other than that, overall solid experience.

https://betway.ca/ This book, in my experience so far, offers live odds on the broadest spectrum of MMA promotions compared to any other book. I'll often use Betway as a reference where, if they're not offering live odds on a smaller MMA promotion, then I can safely presume that no other book is. The problem with Betway is that they will very quickly limit how much you can wager on their live odds once their algorithms start to identify you as a consistent winner. Quite unfortunate.

https://caesarspalaceonline.com/on/ I'm a relatively new user of Caesar's platform, but so far I've really been enjoying it. This has quickly become one of my favorite, go-to books for live betting MMA, along with BetMGM. They offer live odds for UFC, Bellator, and PFL at the very least. Haven't noticed any limits being imposed at all, yet. One massive advantage they have over BetMGM, is that when you submit a bet, it goes through immediately. Very convenient for live betting.

    To be continued...

https://sportsbook.draftkings.com/ Good old DraftKings. Well, sort of, I guess. They cover UFC in-play, of course. They cover Bellator too. I'm pretty sure they cover PFL live as well. Wagers can sometimes go through very quickly without a delay, like Caesar's. Or at least they used to. The problem is that they've started to limit me to the point where, if the odds on a fighter are only, say, -150 live, I can't wager $150 on that fighter to print $100 profit. They'll knock my allowed wager down to something like $122.15 or $132.62, etc. Annoying, and unfortunate.

https://www.fanduel.com/Canada I know FanDuel covers UFC live. I can't remember if they cover Bellator and PFL live. They never really gave me the chance to familiarize myself with their platform, because before long, I started to have issues placing wagers at all. Like they just wouldn't go through, all of a sudden one night I started getting a generic error message pop up in response to my wager attempts saying that my bet couldn't be processed. I just ended up withdrawing all my funds, and haven't used the platform for at least a few months now. I'll probably get around to depositing some funds and trying again soon to see if the issue has cleared up.

https://on.sportsinteraction.com/ This is the first sportsbook I ever signed up with back in 2018, but back in those days I was pretty much pre-betting exclusive, and only recently returned to the platform after sorting out the whole Canada to Ontario account migration. This past Tuesday I was pleasantly surprised to see that they offered live odds for Dana White's Contender Series. Most sportsbooks don't cover DWCS live. DraftKings and Bodog were the only other two I saw doing that. So they cover UFC and DWCS live at the very least, but I'll need more time to see if they cover Bellator, PFL, or any other MMA promotions live. The live betting platform this past Tuesday seemed a bit clunky and restrictive, with live odds being frozen and inaccessible much of the time. Still, I'll need more time to see how it really is, since I only just returned to SIA after a long hiatus. They seem to have tightened up their user interface in the meantime, looking nice and sleek.

https://www.betonline.ag/ Love/Hate with this one. They cover UFC live. I'm blanking out right now on if they cover Bellator live, I think they might. I don't think they cover PFL live. They DO cover LFA live, which is nice. I guess that's because they're officially partnered with the LFA. BetOnline is where a lot of the pre-bets and parlays happen that I do end up placing these days. They generally have very high thresholds for how much you can wager, which comes in handy. Unfortunately, on the live betting side of things, they eventually seem to have ended up limiting me down to symmetrical wagers, where if a fighter is -200 live, the most I can wager is $200, $350 for -350, etc. I miss being able to print $200 USD at a moment's whim on their platform, as opposed to just $100 at best.

https://www.bodog.eu/ The second sportsbook I ever signed up with. This is the one that really opened my eyes to the power of live betting - where I cut my teeth. I'll never forget that time where, over time, I consistently ran an initial account balance of $200, up to $5000. In addition to UFC, I've seen them offer live odds on Bellator and PFL as well. Now, I don't recall if they started to limit my live wagers, but what I do know as fact, is that at some point, something worse than that happened to their live odds. To this day, and for quite some time now, their live odds seem to have shifted from being generally flexible and accessible, to frozen/suspended the overwhelming majority of the time, making live betting with Bodog almost useless (impossible), compared to other sportsbooks. Generally-speaking, you might get a brief window of opportunity where the odds open up between rounds, if you're lucky. This really sucks. As such, I've shifted towards relying on Bodog for their diverse myriad of prop bets on UFC bouts in particular, and not much else.

So that's my $0.02, but in this same vein, I'd like to ask if anyone here in the SBR community can help expand this list. As an Ontario resident, I am very interested in maximizing my options for live betting on UFC, as well as any other MMA promotions.

Looking forward to seeing what we can come up with!

pinnacle.ca offers high stakes live betting between rounds on every UFC fight and DWCS fight. Between $600 - $1200 CAD base bets, and you can rebet as many times as you want in that minute. They are true to their word that they dont limit winners. I've been slamming the live lines hard whenever there's value and they just shift the line hard in response. They've alway paid me quickly and with zero hassle. It's my primary book for MMA betting.

Good list brother. I signed up for betmgm when they entered the Ontario market and they didn't seem to offer mma live betting at the time so I forgot about them. I'll give them a whirl on the next PFL.

Pinnacle, literally and without exaggeration, banned me for no reason. I would love to be able to use their platform, as I understand that it is supposed to be one of the most well-established, with various perks as you mentioned, but during the account verification process, while I was submitting my documents and corresponding with one of their representatives to get everything done, out of nowhere they permanently closed my account and refused to specify why. This is a bit ironic considering they first allowed me to place and lose several hundred dollars worth of bets without issue before they prompted me to verify my account.

I'll actually be detailing the entire ordeal here on SBR from start to present when I have time. I'm pretty bitter about it considering the fact that, as you can see, I am signed up with numerous other sportsbooks without issue, and have been for years. Pinnacle is the only sportsbook I have ever had such an issue with. It's very bizarre...

It's like, in light of the fact that I'm an active user in good standing with pretty much every major sportsbook you can think of, what do you honestly think is more likely:

    A: That I'm the problem/made a mistake?

    or

B: That Pinnacle is the problem/made a mistake?
