#213i like rumble +570 decision if he cant knock him out he may try to grind and wrestle texeira, i see hes been working on his cardio really hard this camp and his last fight he was trying to work more on his wrestling, im assuming these changes are so he can deal with daniel cormier ... i could definitely see glover winning if he can use his wrestling and tire rumble but if phil davis couldnt come close to taking down rumble not sure if glover will be able to .... but at +570 i like the value for a small shot. Should be a crazy fight though has fight of the night potential definitelyComment -

#215its not his team ... He was giving instructions and the guy didn't listen he knew the guy for 3 weeks lmao and he was mad in competitive spirit another example you're a bum who hasn't trained
he was the one living off scraps and made it to himself he didn't have any help he owes nobody nothing .. Half the UFC talk crap about him why would he help them when he's probably busy 14 hours a day ?? He said maybe in the future to not like he said no
guy seen a fan with a cutout board of him and went into his house and signed autographs took pictures, never once seen a big time athlete do that. After every press conference he thanks each media member like a gentleman , even after defeating his opponent he usually shows class even against Aldo.. I've literally seen so many countless examples of him being a genuine good dude it just shows how trulely stupid you are , you say Diaz is just being himself mcgregor has never changed once he's been the exact same way from a bum to a UFC legend / highest earner not most can say the same.. His "trash talk" is just his analysis of the fighter if people can't handle it then don't watch his brutal honesty , just like Diaz he says what's on his mind if he thinks he can slap the shit out of somebody he's gonna say he'll slap the shit outta them lol any true fighter thinks he can beat anybody on the planet . Comparing mcgregor to Jon Jones is just a disgrace imo Jon Jones you can tell is legitimately a pathological liar / psychopath but he's the best ever so people wanna see him me included .. Mcgregor talks a lot but you can tell is genuinely truthful and real completely different it's sad you cannot see into this another reason why your mma analysis most likely are off if you can read into body language and other signs like this
nor do a ''genuine good guy'' all of a sudden start shouting and calling someone he's supposed to be a ''coach'' for a fcking pussy, i do not question that he has good sides (of course he does) i'm questioning you and the rest of the brainless peons use of constant hyperbole when you say he's a ''humble'' & ''genuine good guy'' when his actions show he's quite clearly not.
which is okay, no one expects him to be that. it's just a bit silly to pretend like he is.
also, you even using the term ''psychopath'' about jon jones, partly makes me question your age bracket, and secondly your education. ''psychopath'' is a slang term, as a diagnosis in icd or dsm manuals it doesn't even exist. nor is he ''pathological'' either.
you are like a mouthy teenager, both in how you express yourself (with the constant exaggerations and hyperbole) both also in the naivity in the way your ''reasoning'' works. it would surprise me greatly (and further pity you even more) if you were even in your 30's yet. i hope for your sake you aren't.Comment -

#216It certainly works if you think Glover is gonna win this fight.. Rumble does have a shot at KO'ing Glover I think. We've seen Glover get rocked by punches in fights and wobbled before and last I checked Rumble hits like a truck early on in fights.. (He dropped Gus in the 1st and almost knocked out DC early on also)
I haven't played this fight yet but probably will hedge with Rumble 1st round finish at +140 and Glover straight at +170..

Only a 3 round fight and I'm assuming the first bit will be a feeling out process , rumble has the power to Ko anybody or anything in the universe but I feel like if he's cruising he'll want to try some new things out as I see him trying to build his skill set for another title push...glover definitely has ways to win this fight to should be wild

and bj , rumble can and has shown he can go 3 rounds easily especially at 205, it's the 5 rounders and wrestlers who grind him out that start to beat him . That's why I like the +570 value I think he has a decent shot at itLast edited by firekillex; 08-15-16, 04:24 PM.Comment -

#221Didnt Bader out box glover? Do glover have a solid camp these days? Im not sure how good bet glover is at 36 years old, with a tendency to get clipped, without a solid camp, in a fight he probably is forced to stand and trade with AJ. Glover loves to stalk people, hes not going to stalk AJ the first two rounds, i can tell you that much, AJ stalks anyone, and we all know why...
Baders boxing is underrated imo, it was a close fight they had some good exchanges but then glover clipped him and destroyed him. Glover is a super tough guy though he has a solid chin even though if rumble hits you clean it's over. Could be best to ride the decision +570 with round 1 prop hedge imo..
id say rumble wins 60-70% of the time in this matchup imo if he fights right his chances go up significantly but he's shown he doesn't always have the greatest fight IQ so we'll see, I really like seeing he's working on his cardio though as a major thing this campComment -

#224But AJ can easily go to a dec like he did against arlovsky or phil davis. People are forgetting that while he has bad cardio, his not doomed and destined to gass after round 1. Its clear evidence in his prior fight that he can go 3 rounds easily EASILY.

Since that fight Rumble has won 4 fights by KO and lost to DC by way of KO.. It's the current trends that matter to me the most.. So is it really likely Rumble goes to decision? I don't think so...
Over all Rumble has gone to decision 6 times in 26 pro fights..
Now looking at Glover - like Rumble he also doesn't go to decision very often in his fights either, in fact his last decision fight was with Phil Davis as well.. Since that fight he also has been knocking people out..http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Glover-Teixeira-4655
So going by the recent numbers and trends with both fighters it's not likely this fight goes the distance.. This is how I figure out how to play props.. I break it down to recent trends then think about the stylistic match ups.. Likely these 2 guys will stand and bang it out, that increases the chances of one getting knocked out also..
I could see Rumble clipping and rocking Glover early on just like Ryan Bader did.

#225True it's possible Rumble can fight conservative and take it to decision.. Glover is tough to finish also.. However, what I look at though is Rumble hasn't gone to decision in any fight since early in 2014 and against Phil Davis whom is impossible to finish.. That was over 2 years ago.. http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Anthony-Johnson-17662

So, why did AJ suddenly stop going to dec, why is that trend even happening?
Matchup, as we always know is very relevant. So in the phil davis fight, as you said hes hard to stop......so......he went to a dec.
Glover is hard to stop, so it may go to a dec. Thats why we often are wrong, we believe the late trend is happening again, overlooking what was the main reason that this and that happened, right?
Regarding the cormier fight where AJ lost by sub, he had someone take his soul. How do AJ quit? By making him f grapple. If youre standing with AJ, hes not going to fold, he either KOs you out, or go to a dec, where he wins a unanimous dec.
So the way Glover wins is to take AJs soul, taking him down, make him work, frustrate him, making doing the exact opposite of what he likes. Eddie alwarez talked about this, all fighters have a soul, they have something they like to do, for AJ its striking. By not making him strike, making him tired in grappling where hes not that adept of reserving his energy, mark hunt is diff, he wont fold even when wrestled, he has a different mentality.
If am betting this fight im on AJ, but if Glover takes him down repeatedly he may end up submitting AJ. I dont know how likely this is though, but it its a possibility. But AJ can go three rounds, he can go to a dec even though any of you guys on this forum try to tell me otherwise. Its a fact, its evidence, its documented, period.Last edited by bjpenn85; 08-15-16, 05:43 PM.Comment -

#227Well youre on point on a lot of things, let us talk why AJ hasnt gone to dec lately.

I agree BJ with all your points, but the bottom line is we all try to envision how a fight might play out, we both know Glover and Rumble very well... Like you said if Glover is able to take down Rumble and soften him up or get him gassed he could absolutely land a sub late in the fight.. Glover has solid Jits... Rumble also has decent wrestling and above average TD defense..
This is why I said I'm gonna hedge probably with Glover straight at +170, as he can probably either wins by sub and or by decision and or maybe even by KO...
However, seeing how Bader rocked Glover and remembering how Glover has been clipped and rocked in recent fights I think Rumble has a better then good chance of landing something solid on the chin early on and actually knocking out Glover...
So my bigger play is leaning towards Rumble in the first round finish at +140.. Hedge Glover straight to only cover or for small profit.. I need to work the numbers..
I figure Rumble is the most dangerous and hits the hardest early on in fights before he gets gassed out or decides to coast and work it to a decision..
Thinking this fight over anymore then we both just did BJ is simply over thinking it.. After all it's just 2 guys in a cage trying to win a fight.. Go with recent fighter trends, fighter strengths and weaknesses, stylistic match up between the two and you usually come out with the bet prop win......

also took a stab at jamaica 4x100 at -180 should be another easy win not sure why the odds were so low on both
didnt take the 200m but may jump on him now if the line isnt to high, always cool watching history be made and having a bet on it feels special

Bolt wins 100m and 200 (-160)
Field wins Women's 200m vs. Schippers (+200) Big
Thompson wins 200m (+300)

Parlay of Bolt wins 200m and Jamaica Women win 4 x 100 (+123)

Kipchoge is one to look out for at almost even money. He has won all but one marathon he's run (finished second in the other) and has a personal record almost a minute better than his closest competitor, Biwott.Comment -

#240You are all too late backing Bolt at these crap odds. Where were you when he was +200 odds at the previous major race World championships maybe a year ago? He was going into that race 100m & 200m like Nate Diaz on 10 days notice. Gatlin was -250 odds. How the tables have turned now.
2015 Beijing World Championships
At the start of 2015 he announced that he intended to make the 2017 World Championships in Athletics his last major competition before retirement.[203]
Bolt after winning his fourth 200 m world title
Upon his return from injury, Bolt appeared a reduced figure at the start of the 2015 season. He ran only two 100 m and three 200 m before the major championship. He opened with 10.12 seconds for the 100 m and 20.20 for the 200 m. He won the 200 m in New York and Ostrava, but his season's best time of 20.13 seconds ranked him 20th in the world going into the championships.[204] Two 100 m runs of 9.87 in July in London showed better form, but in comparison Justin Gatlin was easily the topped ranked sprinter – the American had times of 9.74 and 19.57 seconds, and had already run under 9.8 seconds on four occasions that season.[204][205] Bolt entered the World Championships to defend his sprint titles but was not the comfortable favourite he had been since 2008.[206][207]
In the World Championships 100 m, Bolt won his semi-final in 9.96, which lagged Gatlin's semi-final win in 9.77 seconds.[205] However, Gatlin did not match that form in the final while Bolt improved through the rounds. In a narrow victory, Bolt leaned at the line to beat Gatlin 9.79 to 9.80 seconds. Bolt joined Carl Lewis and Maurice Greene on a record three 100 m world titles.[208][209][210]
Bolt taking a close World 100 m win over Justin Gatlin
A similar outcome followed in the 200 m World finals. In the semi-final, Gatlin outpaced Bolt – the Jamaican at 19.95 and the American at 19.87. Despite such slow times prior to Beijing, Bolt delivered in the final with his fifth fastest run ever for the 200 m at 19.55 seconds. Gatlin failed to reach his early season form and finished almost two tenths of a seconds behind Bolt. Bolt's four consecutive wins over 200 m at the World Championships was unprecedented and established him clearly as the best ever sprinter at the competition.[211]
There was also a fourth straight win in the 4 × 100 metres relay with the Jamaica team (Nesta Carter, Asafa Powell, Nickel Ashmeade, Usain Bolt). The Americans initially had a lead, but a poor baton exchange saw them disqualified and Jamaica defend their title in 37.36 seconds – well clear of the Chinese team who took a surprise silver for the host nation.[212]
Conscious of his injuries at the start of the season, he did not compete after the World Championships, skipping the 2015 IAAF Diamond League final.[213]Last edited by Thrilla; 08-16-16, 08:25 AM.Comment -

i was kinda leaning glover thinking hed be a bigger underdog but the more tape i watch the more i like rumble here , he has the power over anybody, he actually has some really good technique behind his punches and kicks to even though hes a little stiff he brings a ton of explosiveness to make up for it and he has super underrated wrestling and in a 3 round fight i dont see him getting tired basically his only kryptonite ... glover trains at his own camp , doesnt even bring in anybody really to train or spar from what ive seen , rumble has the much better camp by a landslide . Glover is also very very tough so its gonna be hard to finish him so i could definitely see johnson getting a decision win id be more scared of him getting the tko/ko then glover winning tbh , but who knows glover is super tough and has power to knock anybody out as well but in a 3 rounder you gotta take rumble imo if it was 5 like it was supposed to be when they were slotted for a main event spot this fight would be much differentComment -
