    Exbet betting exchange
Launched last month, btc betting exchange, i signed up and deposited a little, had a play around.
Surprised nothing on here about it yet. Anyone else had a look, good or bad experience? My thoughts for what its worth-

    Pros
    - decent betfair-style interafce
    - easy navigation
    - they say they offer api access (havenotchecked this out yet but api documentation is available)
    - small/moderate but solid pre-match liquidity
    - 1% commission ok
    - i got paid out correctly on my two winners so far (but not my losers )

    Cons
    - very limited offering only soccer and NFL so far, NBA coming i believe
    - no offers in-play.. when the whistle goes its like closing time at the bar lol
    - 1% commission not ok lol
    - same as any new exchange, confidence in whether they can keep building liquidity and whether initial seeding gets rekt or find something better to do with the btc

Generally, i feel ExBet does the basics well, but offering and liquidity leave a lot to be desired. Early days but uphill task for any new exchange. Would love to see horse racing on there but from what they say this doesn't look likely any time soon.

Thank you for the write up!

As a frequent user of betting exchanges, I love to see it. Do you mind posting to my review of betting exchanges below and I will update the top comment to approve?

I will not use a VPN but it is still good news to see a new product; I believe in the very near future all exchanges will have arbitatragors betting all the exchanges identical to each other with little or new juice. Therefore, the important metrics will be

    -Custodial; who owns the funds?
-Censorship; what happens to skilled bettors?
-Jurisidiction; is there an issue getting the major players in; in practice this is "access to the huge US market"

    -Grading; any issues?

So even though there may be reduced volume for NOW, i don't see that as a long term hurdle for exchanges.

hello theblueman thanks for your reply.

i would be happy to post on your review but i don't see where..?? sorry probably being stupid

agree that you raise some important questions

-Custodial - ExBet seems to be custodial, it was a simple deposit process
-Censorship - i guess they are an exchange and so don't care about long-term winners as they only take commission i.e. a cut of winnings. but i think it is probably a bit naive to assume it is that simple, often there will be market makers on board who will not want to lose money, and the exchange will want to keep them happy. we shall see
-Jurisdiction - they are curacao licensed so US not allowed
-Grading - fine so far in my small expereince
