#6652I certainly hope so, I just lost 33% of my entire net worth of investments for my retirement. I made 3X my investment after the pandemic & cashed out, but bought back in @ around 47k. So I’m in for another 20 years & hopefully I can retire off that amount when that day arrives.Comment -

#6658Historically speaking we could down further, BTC currently sits at roughly 60% down from it's ath. Typically it falls 80-85% from each peak but there wasn't max euphoria so maybe this is max pain? Not the best indicatorComment -

#6662you have much worse things to worry about than correlations with indexes, if bond yields don't come back down, you can kiss the halving cycle pump good bye in a few years...it's a delicate tight rope walk right now, up to this point the printing their way out of crises has worked every few years, but history has shown us this works until it doesn't...I am DCA'g into my holdings, especially tech stocks I expect to have strong cash flows, but I would be very cautious and put into the back of your heads if great depression 2.0 occurs there is no one to buy bitcoins which are producing nothing but paper gains, there's no blockchain infrastructure in place and there won't be one for at least 5-10 years, until this happens its still extremely speculative...I am managing my risk here, currently buying but not more than 10% of net savings/investments....there are better companies like NVDA TSLA AAPL if you want to make sure you aren't working at McDonalds in 5 years...Comment -

#66691. DCA purchase no matter what
After embracing the Bitcoin revolution, Michael J. Saylor was quick to say that he had no intention of selling the BTC units purchased by MicroStrategy. His strategy has always been long-term oriented. He immediately redefined his time horizon to take full advantage of the Bitcoin revolution.
Once you make that choice, you can make DCA purchases no matter what. For example, Michael J. Saylor buys Bitcoin with MicroStrategy without even considering the short-term price. That's how he was able to buy BTC several times at the ATH level, just as he did in subsequent dips.
He is convinced of the inevitable success of Bitcoin in the future, and so he sees no reason not to buy Bitcoin as soon as MicroStrategy has some cash to protect from inflation. He doesn't fall into the trap of procrastination like some who always wait for the price of Bitcoin to fall lower before buying.Comment -

#6671World's Wealthiest Annual Ranking Now Lists 12 Crypto Billionaires
The American business magazine Forbes recently published the company’s 2021 documentation of the wealthiest billionaires in the world. According to the list published annually every March, there are now 12 billionaires that work directly within the cryptocurrency industry and the list of crypto billionaires is 3x larger than last year.A Few Changes This Year Could Increase the 2022 Crypto Billionaires List
The cofounder of Ripple Labs Chris Larsen holds the fourth position with $3.5 billion in wealth. The CEO of Microstrategy Michael Saylor is noted in the list for having $2.3 billion. Another Ripple cofounder is also mentioned on Forbes’ 2021 billionaire list as Jed McCaleb is estimated to have around $2 billion. The cofounder of Coinbase Fred Ersham has around $1.9 billion and ChangPeng Zhao (CZ) from Binance holds the exact same amount as Ersham.
The last three people on the list include Digital Currency Group’s Barry Silbert ($1.6B), Bloq’s Matthew Roszak ($1.5B), and the well known venture capitalist Tim Draper. Alongside this, there may even be a number of crypto people that are not mentioned on the Forbes billionaire list.
Just recently, in an interview with Angie Lau from Forkast News, Roger Ver touched upon not making the list and said that it might not be accurate. Moreover, Ver explained that when a few companies he’s invested in go public, he plans to have “several billion dollars worth of capital” and $2 billion will be dedicated to the Bitcoin Cash network and spreading adoption.
It will be interesting to see how things look in the 2022 list written and published by the American business magazine especially for the number of crypto people listed. By then the size of the crypto economy may be much larger, a bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) could get approved, and companies like Coinbase going public may happen a lot more often. All three of these factors will produce a lot more crypto billionaires next year if they come to fruition.

#6675Do Kwon Wants to Fork LUNA's Blockchain to Make 'Terra Classic'
Under a plan proposed by Do Kwon, the current chain would be renamed Terra Classic. The new chain would ditch the UST stablecoin.

#6676I suppose that estimation varies because the 10 minute target time per new block gets decreased until the difficulty adjusts it.
I think it's every two weeks but the every 4 year market is really an estimation because isn't halving suppose to occur at 210,000 new blocks?
I think it constantly runs towards about 9.5 minutes, but that could be older news.
I would imagine a realtime countdown tracker would vary.Comment -
