I'll have a check out the Safedin Ammous vid. See if there any other interesting vids, that arent just already rich people talking about how great bitcoin is.
Tried watching the Jack Mallers strike presentation. Seems like they are trying to replace banks/************ companies as the middle man between customers and merchants. Will have to keep an eye on that and how easy it is to use.
It's not beneficial for anyone except the merchant. The conference was Bitcoin maxi circle jerking each other. Lightning network or not tell me, why would anyone want to pay for something with BTC? What incentive does the merchant offer? If anything it helps the merchant become relieved from the 3.5 percent ************ usually charge but nothing for the end consumer

Some people thought Brazil was going to announce adoption during the conference

That would have been huge. Instead we got a couple of small islands.

Yes. So small that you'd have to be a master of World Geography to recognize those regions.

Yes, Yulia. In Saloon, I started a thread on Inflation stats a while back. Didn't gain much traction.
Might be time to watch this again. Think the inflation just continues. Track your grocery prices.
Grocery inflation is surely blowing through the stated CPI. By at least a factor of 2x.

It'll keep running, yes CPI what a crock, on so many levels (beyond them changing it over the years).
BTC will really break out, it appears, next year. Who knows though, we might have a surprise left in the 2H this year.

I think so, Green. Wow, on Friday literally the whole board was Red. I couldn't find one asset that was up in value.
The govt has messed up badly. Even the base metals have gone up over time. Value of the penny/nickel is now well over Face Value.

Yes, but I'm specifically talking about BTC and I've been in commodities for a while, in any case. I wouldn't touch growth/tech, ARKK can continue to get crushed. BTC may be correlated still for the rest of the year, but little by little it is decoupling. I see a breakout in 2023 to over 100k.

I figured that the low was going to be $40k this bear cycle with institutions acting as a safety net. Even though the price dropped below that $40k mark, $30k would be a shocker. A recession in 2023 could be huge for bitcoin near the end of 2023. It would coincide with the beginning of the bitcoin bull run.

Yes, that's the trend. High correlation.
I don't see the de-coupling. This isn't good.
I still need to hear more about the Use Case in impoverished nations. You hear SOME of this from Central America and Africa. But not enough.

There will be more such thing as a bitcoin bull run. Everyday from now on it will go lower and lower until it reaches zero. Once it reaches zero it will not exist anymore. The same thing will happen with all cryotocurrency. None of it will exist anymore in a few months.

Mike, I THINK you meant to use a different word there.
But point taken. BTC is struggling mightily right now.

I've obviously had a change of heart on the correlation because there definitely is now where there wasn't in the past. There's a higher percentage of times that bitcoin has moved first, rather than vice-versa. Not sure if the Asian market is the first indicator or not yet.
Bitcoin will continue it's 4 year cycle so I still see the decoupling unless the stock market rises during late 2023- 2024. Miner's are stuck if there's no price increase and rewards are cut in half.

Central banks and Fed control liquidity…their decisions are driven by economic indicators…end of discussion…sooner you realize and accept this the less money you will lose
